Main story
Area S09
Tokarev was one of the Griffin & Kryuger T-Dolls stationed at the Area S09 base when the Commander took charge in 2062. While the other Dolls were hesitant or even suspicious of their friendly disposition towards Dolls, Tokarev was the first Doll to accept their kindness,[1] though she had difficulties understanding the concepts of fun, freedom and free will at first.[2] She took part in the mission to rescue AR M4A1M4A1M4A1 in Zone T6 and felt that it was the first mission she had completed not to follow orders, but to save a comrade.[3]
During the Great Retreat, Tokarev fought in MG HK23HK23HK23's team. HK23 was destroyed during the battle and Tokarev was found by AR M4A1M4A1M4A1, who asked her if she resented the Commander for sending her to the battlefield.[4] Tokarev would later determine the answer to this question: unlike AR Team or Task Force DEFY, regular Griffin Dolls like her don't have grand ambitions, and so they gladly endure hardships simply out of loyalty for the Commander, who gave them dignity and emotions.[5] During the Paldiski Incident, Tokarev was part of a team with HG MP-443MP-443MP-443 and RF C14C14C14, but she was destroyed and remembered little of her involvement in the battle.[4]
At the start of the Fireworks Incident during the night of 3 to 4 October 2064,[6] Tokarev, HG PPKPPKPPK, AR RibeyrollesRibeyrollesRibeyrolles and MP-443 were part of HG WelrodWelrodWelrod's team to prepare entertainment for Helian's 10-years work anniversary. They were waiting in a warehouse when the KCCO launched the assault on the base of Area S09[7] and were trapped inside by the attackers. When she ran out of ammo, Tokarev continued to fight with a shovel. With RF WA2000WA2000WA2000's help, the team managed to break out of the warehouse, at the price of Welrod's sacrifice.[8] When Berezovich Kryuger called for volunteers to strike back at the attackers, Tokarev was the only one in her team to volunteer out of duty, while Ribeyrolles and PPK joined because they didn't want to part of the last stand team and MP-443 only joined because of social pressure.[9]
When the counter-attack team had to retreat, Tokarev volunteered her team to stay behind in order to slow down the enemy and restore power to the base's elevators, to honor Welrod's sacrifice. Whlie Ribeyrolles, PPK and MP-443 held the line, Tokarev sneaked through the enemy line to restore the power.[10] Surprising and taking down enemies with her shovel, Tokarev restored the power lines and sang Auf der Heide for PPK over the radio during her last stand. Despite being damaged by grenade explosions, Tokarev kept moving, and remembering a video of a bionic dog who saved its owner by using its body to contain an explosion, she threw herself on a soldier who had unpinned a grenade, taking down multiple attackers with her. The soldiers compared her to a raging monster.[11]
Tokarev took part in the first attempt to assassinate William during the Battle of Frankfurt, but was deactivated by the Nidhogg Protocol before she could enter the White Zone due to being too weak.[12] After hearing the official report of the Commander's death, Kalina flew to Frankfurt and broke into the warehouse where the IOP Dolls were kept, and reactivated Tokarev.[13] Because she had been deactivated early in the assault on the Frankfurt White Zone, she didn't know what happened to the Commander and joined Kalina in her investigations.[12] Tokarev investigated the tank where the Commander was last seen, but the investigation was cut short by Kalina's weak health and Tokarev had to take her to the hospital.[14] Tokarev's investigation led her to conclude that the Commander was still alive[15] and she found traces of unusual medical shipments while hacking into the hospital's network.[16]
Along with three other reactivated Dolls, AR CZ-805CZ-805CZ-805, RF C14C14C14 and SG Six12Six12Six12,[17] Tokarev and Kalina followed the clues left by the Commander to their hideout in the abandoned Cold War undergrounds of the city, but they were attacked by automated security. Tokarev, CZ-805, C14 and Six12 allowed Kalina to pass the first blast door to the Commander's hideout and were destroyed by the security automatons.[5] Tokarev took an unexploded payload from one of the automatons to make a last stand.[18] Before she could detonate it, Lunasia invaded her Neural Cloud and caused her to experience a scene where the Commander took her to see a movie and gifted her a hair ribbon. She was then suddenly transported to a battlefield where the Commander coldly ordered her to sacrifice herself for their protection,[19] and threatened to shoot her when she hesitated. A voice enticed Tokarev to shoot the Commander instead, but Tokarev immediately understood that she was in an illusion and shot Lunasia herself, scoffing at her poor understanding of the Commander's character.[20] After stabilizng her Neural Cloud, Tokarev thanked the Commander conjured in her mind by her memories, and kissed them before regaining control of her body to carry out her suicide attack against the security automatons.

The neural cores of Tokarev, CZ-805, C14 and Six12 were recovered by SMG UMP9UMP9UMP9 and SMG UMP45UMP45UMP45 when Dandelion sent them to the underground to rescue Kalina. UMP45 praised Tokarev for the punishing damage she had dealt to her enemies.[21] Dandelion transferred their Neural Clouds into new bodies over the next days in preparation for the second attempt on William's life.[22][23] The Commander apologized to the four Dolls for what they had endured and said that Tokarev looked more mature in her new body. The original plan called for Tokarev's team to join Kalina and Squad 404 to destroy the remaining Paradeus sites in Frankfurt,[24] but since William had concentrated most of his forces to protect himself, Dandelion recalled Tokarev's team to participate in the main assault instead.
Since Dandelion's body had been stolen by William to incarnate Lunasia, Dandelion took control of Tokarev's body[25] to physically assist and protect the Commander.[26] Tokarev had agreed to lend her body to Dandelion so she could be of more use to the Commander, though this also meant that she was unable to see them before their exile to the contamination zones.[27]

In SG CAWSCAWSCAWS's costume story for Florentine's Gift, CAWS gives snacks to Tokarev as a Christmas present, assuming she liked them since she always brought some for her when they met. But the Commander points out that Tokarev doesn't partiuclarly like snacks, only bringing them out of consideration for CAWS. The Commander reveals two things that Tokarev loves more than snacks: cats, to the point that she broke character during a masquerade event and put herself in harm's way to pet it, and cute underwear, to the point that she kept photos of the revealing wedding dress she wore during a photoshoot.
The first incident is a reference to Tokarev's "Griffin's Dancer" costume, and the second is a reference to her "A Couple's Journey" costume.
