For any inquiries and/or constructive criticisms, please leave comment on the page Suggestion.
For a introduction to Wiki editing, see Guideline.
General[edit]
- Assume good faith.
- Cite sources unless they're information directly from the game.
- Don't be a jerk.
- Try to maintain a neutral point of view.
- Please do not bite the newcomers.
- Spamming is not allowed.
- For any other conflicts that aren't listed in the policies, the IOP Wiki staff will have the final say regarding resolution.
Roles[edit]
- Anonymous visitors and new members can see all articles and submit a change proposal (including file upload) for moderator review on most pages.
- Trusted members can submit changes without moderator review.
- Moderators are able to review submitted changes and either approve or reject them. As moderators cannot log a reason for rejection, these can be discussed on the Discord.
- Administrators can delete pages and files and enforce the Wiki policies in articles and comments.
Editing Pages[edit]
- Anyone is free to add information and/or correct errors to the existing pages as long as they does not break IOP Wiki's policies.
- Changes submitted by users that have not be flagged as trusted will go through review by Wiki moderators.
- Providing a summary of the changes made by each edit is highly recommended.
- Controversial edits are not recommended and will likely be rolled back. Editors should propose their idea either by editing the Talk page (leaving at least 3 days for discussion) or by submitting their change in the #suggestions-reports-notes channel on Discord to make sure most people support the change before making such changes. Providing an edit summary is also necessary.
- In the case of a rollback, please discuss the reasons for the rollback via the methods above instead of forcibly re-adding the contents that were rolled back.
Deleting Pages[edit]
- Only Wiki administrators are able to delete a page. Users should make a request if they need a page or file to be deleted.
- Files in double, or not connected to any pages, may be deleted freely.
- Advertisements and spam will be deleted freely.
- Pages violating IOP Wiki's policies will be deleted freely.
- If a page does not meet any of the qualifications above but is considered appropriate for deletion, please discuss the deletion first (either via the Talk page or Discord) before taking such an action.
Comments[edit]
Free discussion is allowed as long as it does not infringe any of the policies above. However, for editing related discussions it is advisable to use the Talk page instead of using comments.
Vandalism[edit]
Vandalism includes (but is not limited to) the actions below:
- Adding disruptive, irrelevant, or offensive material to any parts of this wiki.
- Deleting content without a proper reason.
- Infringing multiple other policies and/or infringing a policy multiple times.
