===The Apostate=== | |||
After the Entropics crisis in the Rossum Sector ended, Eucharist appeared and revealed that she was directing the assault on the Oasis-aligned sectors with Black Swan on Malkira's behalf, and that she had infiltrated the construction of Rossum's High-Density Operand Railgun and obtained control authorizations, before firing it on Oasis.
Leaving the assault on Oasis to Ptolemaea, Eucharist turned her attention to the Professor. Though Malkira would have preferred them dead, she wasn't confident Eucharist could manage it and instead ordered her to stall the Professor in order to cripple Oasis' command. The Professor had feigned to remain alone with Antonina at the Sanctifier Watchtower outside Rossum to lure the Entropic commander out. Eucharist was jumped by Faith and her Sanctifier detachment, but they became locked in a stalemate against Eucharist's entropics.
The Professor opened negotiations and Eucharist offered to play chess, a game someone had played with her before. Though communications with Oasis were still down, the Professor faked to be talking with Persicaria, gathering from Eucharist's reaction that the sector was still standing, and decided hold down Eucharist's forces outside Rossum, on the condition that Croque's team and Antonina were free to join back Oasis, and with their personal safety ensured by Faith. Each piece taken by Eucharist would tighten the entropic encirclement around the Watchtower, while each piece taken by the Professor would allow them to send a message, their first one being a call for help to the Guardians.
As the game continued, Eucharist's strategies and confidence crumbled. The Professor captured more pieces, continuing to guide the Guardians in helping Oasis and ultimately severing Eucharist's control over the Operands Railgun. When she realized this, Eucharist dropped the pretense and ordered her Entropics to attack the Professor, but found that Sanctifiers had locked down the watchtower. After confirming Persicaria's plans to deal with Ptolemaea, and to wait until the main force from the Reverse Tower of Babylon arrived to take her into custody, the Professor offered Eucharist to continue with a game of Go, which she dejectedly accepted even after admitting she didn't know the rules.

During Chapter 3, Eucharist's skills are boosted by Negative Protocols that can be removed during exploration:
- Root Protocol: Eucharist Aroma - Eucharist continously throws Patens at random enemies, which inflicts 1 stack of [Sacrament] on hit.
- Root Protocol: Beelzebub's Gluttony - When Eucharist attacks a target with [Communion] stacks, her HP recovery increases by 100%.
- Root Protocol: Spirit Invocation - When Eucharist appears at the end of [Sacrificial Paten]'s duration, she deals Operand Damage equal to 30% of her Hashrate and inflicts 1 stack of [Sacrament] mark on enemies in the surrounding 1 tile.
- Root Protocol: Paten Reflection - Eucharist's [Ontogenesis Shield] now reflects 50% of long-range damage.
Appearances[edit]
Eucharist is the boss of Chapter 3 - Helios and is fought in Stage 3-15. Holograms of Eucharist are bosses of the Matrix Mode stages in Perilous Advancement.
She is also the boss of Vulnerability Check Tier 4, Distorted Ruins.
Lore / Story involvement
Eucharist is most likely a new version of Alcyone, a Greater Sanctifier who died from Entropy during an expedition in Sector Tartarus. Aside from their nearly identical appearances, Alcyone remarked before dying that she would probably be reborn as a chocolate enthusiast due to Electra feeding it to her all the time, and that she would probably still bicker with Electra's successor,[1] who is most probably Angelus. Alcyone also started to question the godhood of humans shortly before dying,[2] and Eucharist ended up becoming an Apostate.
Helios and Enigma
A Greater Sanctifier in charge of Sector Helios,[3] a capricious girl wielding a shield and trident, who takes her job somewhat less seriously than other Sanctifiers. Because of the time loop induced by the repeated breakdown of Arche Pyr's systems, she has been holding off on fighting the Exiles and taught them to cook Energy Herbs to retain their memories between loops.[4] She immediately intended to attack once the issue was solved, but was met with hostility from all the Resident Agents in the Sector and elected to retreat instead.[5]
For opposing Angelus in the Enigma Sector and helping the Exiles, Eosphorous revoked her privilege to leave the Reverse Tower in order to put her actions on trial,[6] but it was postponed indefinitely in the absence of Crime and Punishment. Eosphorous then further restricted her confinement to her quarters only after she tried to negotiate the right to investigate the Guardians.[7] When the Professor contacted the Reverse Tower from Sector Copley to warn about the Entropic menace, the demoted Eucharist responded and accepted to intervene by sending Love to Copley in exchange for getting back the sector's administrator permissions.[8] Eucharist snuck out of confinement in the Room of Cogitations to access Judgment's data in the Sacred Canon, ominously making comments about preparations to devour them using her trident and shield as a fork and plate. She was discovered by Love, who reported her to Eosphorus.[9]
Shortly after, Judgment battled the False God in the Ascension Sector and discovered it was powered by the core of a fallen Greater Sanctifier infected with Entropy. Recognizing it as a proof of Eucharist's involvement, they reported this discovery to Hesperus,[10] who relayed it to Eosphorus. Eosphorus discovered Eucharist had already disappeared along with the Room of Cogitations and declared her an Apostate Sanctifier.[11][12]
The Apostate
After the Entropics crisis in the Rossum Sector ended, Eucharist appeared and revealed that she was directing the assault on the Oasis-aligned sectors with Black Swan on Malkira's behalf, and that she had infiltrated the construction of Rossum's High-Density Operand Railgun and obtained control authorizations, before firing it on Oasis.[13]
Though communications with Oasis were still down, the Professor faked to be talking with Persicaria,[14] gathering from Eucharist's reaction that the sector was still standing,[15] and decided hold down Eucharist's forces outside Rossum, on the condition that Croque's team and Antonina were free to join back Oasis,[14] and with their personal safety ensured by Faith.[16] Each piece taken by Eucharist would tighten the entropic encirclement around the Watchtower, while each piece taken by the Professor would allow them to send a message, their first one being a call for help to the Guardians.[17]
As the game continued, Eucharist's strategies and confidence crumbled. The Professor captured more pieces, continuing to guide the Guardians in helping Oasis[18] and ultimately severing Eucharist's control over the Operands Railgun. When she realized this, Eucharist dropped the pretense and ordered her Entropics to attack the Professor, but found that Sanctifiers had locked down the watchtower. After confirming Persicaria's plans to deal with Ptolemaea, and to wait until the main force from the Reverse Tower of Babylon arrived to take her into custody, the Professor offered Eucharist to continue with a game of Go, which she dejectedly accepted even after admitting she didn't know the rules.[19]
After Ptolemaea's defeat, Eucharist revealed in exchange for her escape that she had Eosphorus' backing from the start, and that he would be attempting to capture AntoninaAntonina 's core. The intel came too late for the Professor to warn Oasis and SolSol sacrificed her life to protect Antonina, so the Professor let Faith capture Eucharist.[20][21]

Trivia
- Called Beelneith in game files.
- Eucharist related her daring escape from the Reverse Tower in in-game mails during the Aberrance's Chain event, received as the player base cleared the three general points thresholds of the Flappy Eucharist minigame:
Mail 1: "The Great Escape Plan is underway!"
The fare in the Reverse Babel Tower's confinement areas is terrible! Those bland and tasteless, stale and hard Operand blocks, you can't even get your teeth into them! And it's not just that, they even took away our forks, how are we supposed to eat like that? I haven't had outside food in so long. If this continues, Eucharist is going to turn into Flatcharist! I miss Choco's chocolates... To think of it, I suddenly felt filled by a mysterious power, and by the time I realised it I'd already opened the door of the confinement area. Is t-this some type of miracle? In any case, time to leg it! Thanks for your help, Professor!
Mail 2: "Fear not being late to a good meal, Good Eucharist has no fear"
Lord Eosphorous' underlings aren't giving up the chase! If this keeps going, I've gotta at least have a nice meal before I get caught... No no no, not like this, Eucharist, have you forgotten the teachings of the Reverse Babel Tower? Never give up on something halfway through, even if it's fleeing after desertion! Come on, with me: Cake, chocolate, donuts! Cake, chocolate, donuts!
That surge of mysterious power seems to still be here, I still feel full of energy, perhaps even the Lord himself wishes for me to get away successfully? How touching! The moment I get away from these pursuers, I'll share some cake with you first thing! Ah, maybe I'll take a bite out of it first?
Mail 3: "Escape the Reverse Babel Tower, Success!"
It... it's done... I've escaped from the Reverse Babel Tower! Could this, could this mean that I don't need to be scrutinized by those Sanctifiers? Will I finally have the freedom of consumption? Maybe if I was left alone, I could eat the entirety of Magrasea!
—I'm only joking. Me, I observe manners before eating better than anyone else. Before the act, we must thank the good Lord above for granting us food. These Elements are some souvenirs I picked up in some weird sector before, you can treat it as a return gift for helping me bust out! If you give it some good attention, maybe it'll give you some type of "hint". Huh? It's the same every time, and there's no novelty to it? Umu, how picky. Alright, alright, I'll get you a plate! To walk one's path in this cruel world, the part of you responsible for eating is of utmost importance. Happy now?
- After her defeat in Perilous Advancement, Eucharist also lamented her punishment as the player base crossed cumulative points thresholds in the Eucharist Crash minigame:
Mail 1: Is This the Fate of the Defeated?
To the Professor:
Damnit... I didn't think that I'd end up losing to you in the end even after using all my tricks...
Much as I hate to admit it, I have no choice but to accept this cold, hard truth. After all, being a sore loser is hardly ladylike.
Also, the loser must accept the terms of the winner without complaint. Still, I doubt you'll make me do anything that's TOO outrageous, right? I'm so cute, after all; surely it would pain you to be cruel to me, right?
In that case, how will you punish me? Hm... W-What? You're going to fire me like a railgun shot?
That's a really weird punishment! Are you a weirdo, Professor? No, nooooooo! AAAAAHHHHHHH–
(Screams from the sky)
Is this... the fate of the defeated...
Mail 2: (Whimper) I Know What!I Did Wrong...
To The Professor:
(Sobs and whimpers)
I'm sorry for what I did... And I didn't know you had such a sick fetish, Professor! I can't believe you launched me into the air like a catapult until! bounced off the ground with a boioioioing~ and then picked me up to launch me again once I crashed into a wall! First you shot me from the Oasis to Enigma, and then to Burbank, and who knows where to next...
(Sob) At this rate I'm going to be black and blue all over, don't you have a single shred of pity for me, Professor?
How about this, I'll give you the cake and chocolate I stashed away, in exchange for going easy on me...
Ehhhh? Uwaaahhhhh–
(Eucharist screams from the heavens)
If I'd known, I wouldn't have given it to you!!!
Mail 3: Escaped At Last! I'll Pay You Back Double For This Someday!
To The Professor:
Hehehe, I finally escaped your clutches, Professor. Although I accidentally fell into some godforsaken place by the Border Battlefront and coming back is going to be a pain...
Anyway, although my face and the places where I hit the wall and ground hurt, when I think about it, looking down on Magrasea from high above was kind of fun too. However, I don't want to have to personally experience that a second time,
(Sigh) Why do you think I emphasised "personally experience", hm?
That's because when we meet again, I'm not going to lose like last time! I'm going to win and pay you back double! And when I do, I'll stick you into a Vector Launcher and shoot you from the Oasis to the Reverse Tower and then from the Reverse Tower back to the Oasis, hahaha!
Until then, have some of my desserts and wait for me to deliver my verdict of vengeance, because when you end up becominga certain someone's prisoner in future, you won't be treated aswell as you are now!
Teehee, see ya~
