Time rolls on, the world changes again. A behemoth crosses the world, a mysterious nation appears in the void, its legendary inhabitant conjures a new power, and the blue butterfly observes from Nirvana. “Facts”, “Fiction”, from the cracks in “...”, new seeds grow forlornly. The brave edge of a new world writes prose in bullets, just like back then—[1]

少女前线:蓝蝶契约 (tentatively Girls' Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract) is an upcoming game by Sunborn's Hecate Team, announced during the Girls' Frontline 10th Anniversary concert on 2 May 2026. It is described as a three-players PVE shooter and is expected in 2026[2] for mobile platforms.[3][4]

The first PV depicts Tololo, Mosin-Nagant, Zhaohui and Qiuhua from Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium as playable characters battling enemies from Girls' Frontline: Fire Control, as well as an NPC in a room marked with G-264, Lunasia's ID from the Three Goddesses project.

The game will allow players to relive battles from Girls' Frontline,[5][6][7] such as the one told in Singularity.[3] It is considered the finalized version of Girls' Frontline: Fire Control, and will focus on PVE instead of PVP based on player feedback from Fire Control, which considered that the number and diversity of enemies wasn't satisfying.[5][3] It is intended to introduce fans to the shooter genre while building a player base before the release of Reverse Collapse: F in 2028, which will be a more serious and complex game. Blue Butterfly Contract will be a light-hearted and medium-scale production harmonizing with the more serious and large-scale Reverse Collapse: F.[5]

At the time of its announcement, the game was systems-complete and in content production phase.[7] Yuzhong has expressed interest in making beta tests and final release date simultaneous for all regions.[6]

Title

  • Sunborn submitted a trademark for the English title "GIRLS' FRONTLINE: THE LUNASIA COVENANT" in March 2026.[8]
  • The original CN title of the game was announced on 2 May 2026 as 少女前线:蓝蝶契约, which translates literally into Girls' Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract.
  • A Korean interview published on 5 May used the English and Korean titles Girls' Frontline: Seed and 소녀전선: SEED.[6]
  • A Japanese interview published on 23 May used the Japanese title ドールズフロントライン:ブルーコブナント (Dolls' Frontline: Blue Covenant, using the local name of the franchise), but specified that it was a provisional translation.[7]
