Personality[edit]
Thompson is a mature, skilled and confident fighter and one of the Commander's best regular T-Dolls.[1] On top of her field performance, she also serves as a mentor for the less experienced recruits of her team, Squad Thompson. It's been noted that her leadership was so good that her team performed at similar levels to Squad FN despite the member of Squad Thompson having lower specs.[2] She calls the Commander “boss” and is fond of drinking and opera. She considers herself a rival of RF SpringfieldSpringfieldSpringfield.[3]
Main Story[edit]
During Operation Hypothermia, Thompson was deployed with RF WA2000WA2000WA2000 as the reinforcements in charge of breaching Architect's base and capture her.[4]
During the Great Retreat, Squads Thompson and 9A-91 were in charge of the defense of Griffin's base, covering the retreat of the T-Dolls.[5] After Paradeus became involved in the fight following the detonation of the Collapse bomb, Thompson asked Kalina and the Commander to allow the defense teams to sacrifice themselves to cover the retreat,[6] but the Commander instead dispatched the Griffin's Expendables task forced led by AR HK416HK416HK416 to rescue them. Thompson praised 416's abilities as a leader[1] and invited her to take part in her rousing speech to the T-Dolls later.[7]
Squad Thompson took part in the Paldiski Incident as part of the first defensive line against the KCCO.[8] She was separated from her team when the defense line broke,[9] then regrouped and allowed MAC-10 to take over the team's dummies so she could go berserk while the rest of Squad Thompson retreated.[10] It's not specified that she survived the battle, but their performance was later reviewed positively.[11]
During the Fireworks Incident, Thompson was participating in the preparations for Helian's work anniversary by watching her, but had to dig her out of the debris of a collapsed wall when the KCCO attacked the base.[12] Thompson acted as Kryuger's main bodyguard and organized the defense lines until the enemy retreated.[13]
Side Stories[edit]
Chapter 2N[edit]
During a joint mission with the Neo-Soviet military to destroyed a Sangvis Ferri company, Thompson led HG M1911M1911M1911, SMG MAC-10MAC-10MAC-10, RF Super SASSSuper SASSSuper SASS, RF M21M21M21 and HG M9M9M9, and requested the Commander's strategic assistance due to the difficulty of the task. Thompson successfully managed to wrangle the rivalry between M1911 and M9, as well as MAC-10's bloodlust and M21's lack of confidence for smooth proceedings, but it's the military that derailed the mission by attacking ahead of schedule. In the end, under Thompson's field command, G&K won a flawless victory.
Chapter 9N[edit]
When RF M1 GarandM1 GarandM1 Garand, SMG M3M3M3, SMG T77T77T77 and AR T65T65T65 wanted to film a fake AR M16A1M16A1M16A1 video to cheer up AR T91T91T91 after M16's disappearance, Thompson was chosen for the role of M16 but was out on mission, so the Dolls went to help her finish her mission quicker. Thompson accepted to take part, but the filming was interrupted by Judge. Using Thompson's dummy disguised as M16, the Dolls manage to buy enough time to escape while still shooting a video of "M16" confronting the ringleader.
Neural Upgrades[edit]
- HG M1911M1911M1911: As the rivalry between HG M1911M1911M1911 and HG M9M9M9 worsened, Thompson ordered them to settle who was the best with a duel in the training ground, so they would let some steam out before an important escort mission of the Commander. While M1911 won, the close fight made her realize that she wasn't as superior to M9 as she thought, and the two made up after M1911 saved M9 during a mission.
- RF M14M14M14: After RF M14M14M14 have been getting herself destroyed frequently by rushing into combat, Thompson grounds her at base until she's reflected on her behavior. M14 doesn't want to lose Thompson's recognition and trains properly until Thompson accepts to get her back into the team. The next mission, Squad Thompson is stuck in a difficult situation, and M14 properly checks with Thompson to agree on an approach instead of rushing in to sacrifice herself in an attempt to be useful. M14 ends up being so impressive that Thompson registers her for Neural Upgrade.
- SMG MP5MP5MP5: MP5 considers Thompson to be her mentor, and she's frustrated that she can't quickly become strong and reliable like her. When she puts herself into danger trying to imitate her, her teammates point out that she can't act like Thompson because they're too different, but that she should instead focus on Thompson's traits she can actually match. MP5 realizes that she doesn't crave Thompson's firepower, but her ability to protect her teammates, leading her to develop her own defensive techniques.
- RF Super SASSSuper SASSSuper SASS: While Thompson was away on a mission for the Commander, M1911 and M9 worried that Super SASS would become as strict as their team leader and attempted to teach her their more relaxed ways. The plan backfired spectacularly and SASS became obsessed with becoming strong enough for her team, leading her to challenge Thompson in duel to replace her as team leader. Thompson took it in stride and praised her for overcoming her shyness.
- MG Type 80Type 80Type 80: “Big Sis Thompson” (as HG Type 59Type 59Type 59 calls her) was one of the targets of MG Type 80Type 80Type 80's training to fix her scary glare. She was one of the few Dolls like AR OTs-14OTs-14OTs-14 with enough guts to not flinch while holding a conversation with Type 80.
One Coin Short[edit]
Notebook[edit]
- Fatal Performance: Thompson was part of the bodyguards dispatched to provide security for the opera performance that HG ContenderContenderContender starred in. While surveying the theater, she was the first to find the bombs planted inside and apprehended the terrorists as they tried to flee. She then took part in the shootout against the Doll comedians and lamented that they had ruined the performance.
