Shattered Connexion/Chapter 1
Every story has a beginning, and this event is no different.
Before we begin let me briefly explain some of the changes, In this event, all sortie maps has 2 Map Objectives, and clearing 1 is all you need, however if you wish to receive more Intel points, clearing the map again and clearing the other objective is encouraged, though do be cautious as you may accidentally clear the other objective again so take precautions to avoid doing so. Another thing to note about Intel points, clearing an objective on one difficulty will carry over onto the other difficulty, so you can clear one of the objectives in Normal while the other in EX and it'll still give you all the Intel points for that map in particular.
For example, Clearing Objective 1 of E1-1 (Normal), will be also treat it as if you've cleared Objective 1 in E1-1 (EX), so make sure you clearly check the objectives to see if you've completed them or not. (As of writing this, there is a display bug with the objectives screen, not showing completed objectives).
Like previous events, clearing a map on its EX difficulty will yield the rewards from the maps base difficulty as well.
Now, let us begin.

Very straightforward, no guide is really necessary for this map, but here is a few things to take note of:
- You can clear this map in 2 turns if you're following the secondary objective. When you spawn your echelon, move them 2 tiles up and on the next turn move them 1 tile to the right and then 1 tile to the upper left.
- Both the indicated Smasher units are by themselves and are placed a few tiles away, meaning their radiation circle is well out of your echelons range, they also dont have any escorts with them as the battle starts, however if the battle drags on too long, it will roar and bring some infected to help it.
- You might not see it when placing your echelons, but there is a Smasher unit guarding the enemy HQ right below it, this unit in particular has a couple of infected escorts with them as the battle starts, so engaging this Smasher might be a little challenging, alternatively, you can go around.
- Destroying both of the indicated Smashers is one of the objectives, however if you're opting to secure the enemy HQ, avoid killing both of them. Killing one is fine, but lure the other away.

- The enemy HQ cannot be directly captured and must be encircled.
- Stepping on the radar node will destroy the enemy Manticore. If the Manticore decides to head south, it may be in your favor to avoid this radar in order to complete objective 1 without accidentally completing objective 2.
- Beware of the enemy Dinergate squad to the south, as they may wander randomly into your base.

- Similar to the normal version of this map, the enemy HQ cannot be directly captured and must be encircled.
- The two Goliath+ enemies will patrol around the rectangle underneath the HQ, while the one guarding the enemy HQ will only chase enemies adjacent to it.
- Luring any of the red Goliath+ enemies to the radar node marked in orange will destroy the one guarding the enemy HQ, at which point the base can be easily captured. If you manage to lure the HQ Goliath into the radar, it will explode itself.
- The other Goliath+ teams only have one red Goliath, and can be brute-forced via retreating all but one doll. The explosion will reduce the remaining doll to critical damage levels, at which point the remaining doll will have to deal with a small swarm of Scouts. A single grenadier can easily take them out. Alternatively, a force shield strategy might be used to avoid repair costs.
- Stepping on the radar may change the Goliath's movement AI (currently unsure what the exact circumstances are for this to trigger) and increase the range of their patrol area, including the main HQ. By luring all three Goliaths away it is possible to encircle the HQ without killing any of the three patrolling Goliaths.
E1-3 "A Bound Ghost"[edit]
This map introduces a new enemy, Pyxis defense turrets. These are stationary, armored turrets which can each target two dolls at once, much like Judge. Teams with two SGs are preferred against them, although a pair of high-health SMG dolls may possibly be able to survive one or two encounters, however, HG dolls will almost certainly take heavy damage. Be aware that this special targeting pattern will also considerably limit the usefulness of a Taunt fairy, as dolls behind the Taunt will still take damage from the second gun.

- To capture the HQ, simply make your way to the Uplink Station on the western side of the map and activate the gates.
- To kill the Pyxis turrets, bring a team, preferably with 2 shotgun dolls to tank the hits.

- To complete the first objective, simply kill 5 enemies. There are 4 teams of enemy drones with Pyxis turrets, along with a total of 3 Scout teams.
- In order to complete the second objective, no more than 4 enemies (the absolute minimum required to clear the map) can be killed. Pick your targets carefully.
- The Scout next to your HQ must be killed, otherwise it will move to capture it.
- The Scout on the enemy HQ, behind the gate, does not move and can be ignored by encircling the HQ from the node with the gate. Killing this Scout will almost certainly result in failure of objective 2.
- The Scout on the northern end of the map will give a hint when killed. The answer is to activate the four Uplink Stations (control panels) around the gate clockwise from the top, which will open the gate to the enemy HQ.
