AUG is a unique AR type T-Doll in many ways. She is the first AR unit to have a large tile buff aura providing damage and accuracy bonus to all types of T-Dolls, and the first non-MG doll capable of reaching over 120 rate of fire.
Individual Performance
Skill
Her active skill can be considered a powerful RoF boost, though it is able to achieve the effect of 150 RoF even at skill level 1, at the cost of reducing her own firing accuracy. In addition, the skill has a special effect called "sweeping fire mode", giving AUG a chance to switch to a random target after each attack. The skill itself can be activated 4 seconds into a fight, the long cooldown and short duration means her total skill uptime is relatively low when compared to other 4 second initial CD dolls, her total empowered time in a fight is lower than most 5* AR dolls. But being able to fire at 150 RoF partially compensates for the downtime DPS loss.
Sweeping fire mode was originally introduced when MG HK21HK21HK21 entered the game, the skill effect gives AUG a chance of hitting enemies positioned towards the rear of their formation (which is normally impossible for dolls besides RFs and AR RFBRFBRFB), but it also means AUG lacks the ability to focus on a singular enemy unit to remove their presence off the field. The switch chance is greater if large amount of targets are present on the field (As observed on June 2018, where AUG landed three consecutive hits on the same target when there are only two enemy units remain on the field within firing range).
Stats
Comparing AUG to other AR dolls, she holds the 4th highest accuracy attribute, above average damage and moderate rate of fire. By default AUG has 30% crit rate, as oppose to the usual 20% on typical AR dolls. A comparison graph is available, green indicates AUG, red indicates AR average, while orange indicates average stats from 5* rarity AR dolls only (not including modified dolls).
Combat Performance
The active skill raises AUG's DPS output by a significant margin, however with the 7/9 uptime/downtime setting of her skill, AUG's performance may not be able to compete with some long skill duration AR dolls such as HG ST AR-15ST AR-15ST AR-15 and AR Type 97Type 97Type 97 when it comes to long duration battles. Though with the 4 second initial cooldown, AUG is definitely formidable in short duration battles. Unable to boost her own damage also meant AUG is not as strong other ARs when dealing with high armor enemy units by late stage of the game.
Formation
Tile Bonus
AUG provides offensive orientated tile buff in a large area, to all type of dolls, bonus effect increases damage and accuracy attributes.
- Universal benefactor
Being able to benefit every doll type with her tile, AUG is classified as an universal type benefactor, though the bonuses are small, it is offensive orientated and benefits pretty much every doll in game. AUG can fit comfortably in ARSMG and other type of echelons thanks to this trait.
- Flexible placement
Large coverage area contributes to the idea of flexible placement, no matter where AUG is placed on the back line, she can always deliver tile bonuses to at least 3 T-Dolls, combined with the universal benefactor trait, AUG is one of the most compatible T-Dolls available in game.
Compatibility
The primarily tile bonus AUG should be receiving is damage, when provided with damage bonus AUG can capitalize upon her 150 RoF skill uptime. The skill is able push her rate of fire up to 150 cyclic, rate of fire bonuses will only benefit AUG during her skill's downtimes, roughly 57% of her total combat time. Where as damage bonuses can benefit AUG 100% of her total combat time, and especially while she is empowered by her skill. At level 10 the skill's accuracy penalty is removed, combined with her high innate accuracy, AUG should have no problem hitting targets during diurnal combats, so accuracy bonus can be ignored. It is worth mentioning AUG has 10% more crit chance than other AR type T-Dolls, critical hit rate bonus will have greater effect on AUG as she only requires 28% crit rate boost to reach 100% crit rate.
- Examples of SMG dolls compatible with AUG are: SMG UMP45UMP45UMP45 (Damage and crit rate), SMG AK-74UAK-74UAK-74U (Primarily damage), SMG P90P90P90 (Primarily damage), SMG G36CG36CG36C (Relatively small damage) and SMG Honey BadgerHoney BadgerHoney Badger (Damage and crit rate but awkward tile shape compatibility).
- Examples of HG dolls compatible with AUG are: HG ContenderContenderContender (Damage and crit rate), HG PythonPythonPython (Damage and crit rate but awkward tile shape compatibility), HG Colt RevolverColt RevolverColt Revolver (Damage and damage increase active skill) and HG Grizzly MkVGrizzly MkVGrizzly MkV (Damage and damage increase active skill).
AUG centered AR/SMG formations
Since AUG's bonus extends to every doll type, it is common to build ARSMG echelons centered around AUG standing on tile 4, as she can provide damage bonus to both of the frontal SMG dolls and the other two AR dolls at the back. This combined with her own strong damage output, simply having AUG can greatly improve the offensive attribute of an echelon.
- Tile 1/7 ARs:
AUG can be groupped with AR dolls who can increase their own rate of fire, such as ST AR-15, Type 97, AR ACRACRACR. Or AR dolls who does not require as much RoF tile bonuses, such as AR AK-12AK-12AK-12, AR Howa Type 64Howa Type 64Howa Type 64 and modified AR G36G36G36. This way they can benefit from an additional 12% bonus provided by AUG, all while being fed with the same type of tile bonus they themselves and AUG benefits both from.
- Tile 5 SMGs:
Many tile 5 main tank SMGs can provide bonus directly back to AUG (and the 2 AR dolls on slot 1 and 7), but damage/accuracy bonus from AUG's tiles doesn't really benefit the tanking performance, it will only serve to negate their damage penalty from their T series Exo-skeleton. Dolls such as AK-74U and C-MS will be able to boost the entire back row, while dolls like SMG Type 79Type 79Type 79 and SMG ThompsonThompsonThompson will skip AUG because they have cannot provide bonus to tile 4.
- Tile 8/2 SMGs:
By default SMG dolls lacks damage and accuracy, feeding them damage and accuracy tile bonus will greatly improve their damage output, which AUG can provide in an echelon. Tile 8/2 SMGs are usually optimised for damage, as dolls placed in 8/2 tiles have less chance of being targetted if tile 5 is occupied, but incidentally not many 8/2 slot DPS SMGs can provide useful bonus to AUG (or provide bonuses at all in extreme cases). Damage output focused SMGs such as C-MS can provide useful bonus back to AUG when placed in 8/2, dolls like SMG JS 9JS 9JS 9 and SMG SR-3MPSR-3MPSR-3MP provides the less beneficial rate of fire bonus but also adds critical hit rate. Dolls like Honey Badger provides good bonus but however will skip tile 4 due to awkward tiles.
- Grenade throwing dolls like SMG VectorVectorVector and SMG PP-19PP-19PP-19 will not be able to boost slot 4. SMG PPS-43PPS-43PPS-43 with low damage multiplier on the other hand can actually provide boost back to AUG.
- SMG UMP40UMP40UMP40, arguably the most powerful DPS SMG with the most awkward tile in the game. Since UMP40 cannot provide bonus back to AR dolls on the backrow, many players struggles to find compatible echelons with her. With an AUG centered echelon however, slot 1 and 7 AR dolls are getting 1 additional tile bonus. Pairing AUG and 40 can make up for the bonuses 40 does not provide, while giving 40 a small damage boost.

APCR High-Velocity Ammo
|
HV ammo provides the greatest DPS increase for AR dolls, high upgrade priority recommended. |

IOP X4 Exoskeleton
|
Exo-skeletons offers the least usefulness for an AR doll as it contributes nothing to DPS output, low upgrade priority for this equipment is recommended. |
