Gameplay

The Minotaurus is a melee armored unit boasting both strong defensive and offensive capabilities. Despite similarities, in combat design to Orthros, The Minotaurus is an enemy fitted with an arsenal of far more threatening weaponry. Upon making contact with a Commander's unit, it will first deploy its Damage Reduction Shield entering a defensive state, reducing 80% of damage taken. After doing so it will attack using an Electric Charge, not unlike that of a taser, dealing ticking damage to units within its range. The Minotaurus also has a second offensive skill Missle Launch, which will only activate once per battle and on the second set of its defense-attack cycle. This attack is a weaker version of the Doppelsoldner's grenade launch, but can still do enough damage to ruin a Commander's backline troops.

Due to its high armor count Rifle-Handgun Teams are the most recommended, with High-Power Assault Rifles and Machine Guns being sub-optimal and against certain enemy compositions, extremely unreliable. As previously mentioned, this unit only enters their defensive state upon Initial contact with an opposing unit, thus making kiting and slows highly advantageous assets to clearing them before their shields come up. Lastly, due to the defense-offense based cycling of the combat phases Commanders are recommended to be conscious of their Units' skill timers respective to the Minotaurus' defensive (worst timing) and offensive (most susceptible to damage) states.

Warning The Minotaurus is a unit capable of retaining its combative state irrespective of its positional one. (Capable of moving and Shielding/Attacking simultaneously)

Trivia

  • In Project Neural Cloud, a military mech series called “Minotaur” was produced by Sangvis Ferri and used by the Neo-Soviet Union military. In one instance of a military bidding, it came out on top of the Aegis, a Svarog Heavy Industries prototype that was later used by Croque in Magrasea.[1] Both the English and original names of this series (米诺陶诺斯) are slightly different from the Girls' Frontline enemy's.
