Strategies

Klukai, formerly ^AR HK416HK416HK416 in GFL and ClukayClukay in PNC, is a Corrosive AR unit who excels in dealing AoE damage reminiscent of her kit from PNC. She is recommended for Commanders who lack effective means to deal with large groups. She works well with Peritya and Mechty, with the former being easier to obtain.

Name

According to Klukai and Andoris' profiles and Into the Shadows 06, the name “Klukai” is derived from “Krokodil”, the word for “crocodile” in Slavic languages.

This is a new spelling of the codename she used during Project Neural Cloud, ClukayClukay . The spelling change only occurred in English, her name is identical to Neural Cloud in CN (可露凯), TW (可露凱), KR (클루카이) and JP (クルカイ). She is still referred to as "Clukay" in game files.

She chose to reuse this name as a foil to "Leva" (derived from “lion”), both leaders of Squad 404 representing the apex predators in water and on land in the savannah. The origin of the name is also referenced in the Klukadile Plush item.

According to producer Yuzhong, "Klukai" has a “German flavor”, despite being a Slavic word.

• Klukai's gameplay was implemented to take advantage of the auto-battle systems and reduce the difficulty of the game, which was one of the main critics by players at launch in the CN servers.
• Her "Speeding Star" costume bears similarities to ^AR HK416HK416HK416 7th costume "Midnight Evangelion" in GFL.
• The drone summoned by Klukai with her Expansion Key is called Fang (獠牙). This was also the name of the 416 clone that appeared during Bounty Feast.
• HK416 was the first character introduced in 3D to announce Girls' Frontline 2 back in 2018. She was also teased during Sunborn's talk at the Inven Game Conference in Korea on 13 October 2023, a few months before the game's release, but was only introduced nearly a year later.
• Klukai received a Japanese voice drama recording on 16 April 2026 (for 416 Day). Partial translation can be found here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 4.
• As part of a promotion event, a Klukai voice and theme were added to the Baidu Maps (百度地图) GPS application on 9 September 2024. She was also featured on the collab merch with the second Moondrop earbuds collab and Honor X5i smart watch in 2026.
• Despite only being released 4 months before Exilium's first anniversary, Klukai was the Doll players gave the most gifts to during the game's first year.
  • Klukai placed first in the original Glittering Starwish events in CN and Global, with a respective lead of six and three times more points over the second place.
