Story
Trivia
- "Corposant", also known as “St. Elmo's fire” (which gave its name to the Elmo landship), is a weather phenomenon where a luminous, plasma-like glow appears on the tips of pointed objects during storms. While it is often mistaken for lightning or fire, it is actually a distinct electrical event known scientifically as a corona discharge.
- However, the original name of the event (火花之罪) means “Sinful Spark”.
- Chiral Redundancy is considered the direct sequel to Corposant.[1]
- For this event, the official KR YouTube channel produced a short lore video serving as a reminder of the events of the Battle of Frankfurt from Convolutional Kernel.
- Each part of Chapter 13 references various esoteric concepts:
- AS-1-1 "The First Substance" as well as the AZ-1-1 through AZ-1-3 gameplay maps “Monistic World” I through III refer to the Pythagorean monad, the first thing to exist.
- AA-1-1 "Sun's Gold" and AA-1-2 "Moon's Silver" refer to the metal associated to celestial bodies in Western alchemy.
- AS-1-2 "As above, so below." references a famous doctrine of Hermeticism.
- AS-1-3 "Pelican's Blood" refers to the pelican bird's symbolism in Thelema.
- AA-1-3 "Gnostic Revelation" refers to the Gnostic sect.
- AA-1-4 "Caduceus" refers to the use in alchemical symbolism of the rod of the Green god Hermes.
- AA-1-5 "Tree of Life" refers to the Kabbalistic representation of the cosmos.
- AS-1-4 "Mercurial Fountain" refers to a key symbol of transcendance in alchemy.
- AA-1-6 "Sirr al-Asrār" refers to the esoteric manuscript also known as the Secretum Secretorum.
- AA-1-7 "Ouroboros" refers to the symbol of immortality found in many cultures.
- AA-1-8 "Spark of Life" refers to vitalism, the idea that life emerges from an esoteric source rather than from the physical world.
- AS-1-5 "The Fifth Element" refers to aether or quintessence, an extra element of divine nature added to the four Greek classical elements.
