Weapon Background
The Gewehr 43 or Karabiner 43 (abbreviated G43, K43, Gew 43, Kar 43) is a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Nazi Germany during World War II. The design was based on that of the earlier G41(W), but incorporating an improved short-stroke piston gas system similar to that of the Soviet Tokarev SVT-40, and it incorporated innovative mass-production techniques.[1]

Trivia
- Late of war, some of the prototype of G43 re-tooled and modified the chamber with 7.92x33mm Kurz magazine. This meant to decrease recoil than the predecessor, larger ammo capacity and improved short-to-medium range while sacrificing its firepower and effective range. The prototype was found in Leningrad, alongside with prototype of StG44, MKB.42(h). The modified G43 is the only German Battle Rifle that able to fire both Semi and Full-Automatically. The modified G43 called G43 Dauerfeuereinrichtung or Automatic-Fire Equipment(G43 DFE in short).[2]
