Weapon Background

Unlike in Girls' Frontline, Jiangyu's weapon is a Type 97 NSR Gen 2. This variant comes with a factory-standard KeyMod Flat Top Upper instead of the T97.ca FTU that she'd previously been equipped with. The Type 97 NSR Gen 2 retains a 18.6" long barrel to comply with Canadian law for non-restricted rifles.

Jiangyu is not only a reliable T-Doll in combat, but a true crowd-pleaser on stage. Using her agility and vivacity, she goes above and beyond to put on exciting performances. She may stumble occasionally, but her enthusiasm will cut through any difficulty.[2]

  • The Chinese characters in Jiangyu's name mean “crimson” and “rain”.
    • In datamined closed beta materials from 2021, her name was 银珠 (Silver Pearl).
  • Jiangyu was originally implemented as a Sentinel Doll. The 26 August 2025 patch in CN changed her class to Support and reworked her skills, Fortification and Keys to synergize with other Electric-type Dolls. International servers received the reworked version from the start. The original kit worked as follows:
    • Skills and Fortification
      • Thunderclap Medium AmmoElectric Phase: Causes 2 Stability Damages, 1 turn cooldown. Selects an enemy target within an 8 tiles radius and deals Electric damage equivalent to 130% ATK. If the target has Electric type debuffs, increase damage dealt by 10% and increase Confectance Index by 2 points. If this skill kills the target, deals fixed damage to all enemies within a 2 tile radius of the enemy, and generates a VoltageAdds Electric PhaseElectric weakness to enemy units in the area. When enemy units on affected tiles suffer AoE damage, it triggers a reaction, dealing fixed damage equal to 30% of Attack, and clears the tile. If the damage is Electric PhaseElectric or Hydro PhaseHydro, the fixed damage increases to 60% of attack. Deals double damage to large targets. This is an Electric tile. terrain for 2 turns. At Fortification Level 3, if this skill counters the enemy's weakness, increase Confectance Index by an additional 2 points and reduce the cooldown of this skill by 1 turn.
      • Lightning Smash: Causes 3 Stability Damage, 3 turns cooldown. Select an enemy target within an 8 tiles radius and deal Physical damage equivalent to 140% of ATK. Before attacking, dispel 2 buffs from the target and enhance skill: for each buff successfully dispelled, increases damage dealt by this attack by 10%, and increase Confectance Index by 2 points. If the target has Electric type debuffs, this skill will automatically gain the maximum enhancement effect. At Fortification Level 4, for each buff successfully dispelled, reduce the cooldown of this skill by 1 turn.
      • Rolling Thunder Medium AmmoElectric Phase: Causes 4 Stability Damage, 4 turns cooldown. Select a direction and deal AoE Electric damage equivalent to 110% ATK to all enemies within 8 tiles along the selected direction.
