G36 Strategy Story Quotes Live2D

G36 commentaries.

Individual Performance[edit]

Skill[edit]

Her active skill is a 4-second initial cooldown damage boost of T category, such skill is fairy common amongst the early released 4/5* rarity AR dolls. Being a default 4* rarity, G36's skill is of the same potency and duration as AR M4A1Thumb button.pngM4A1 , however compared to AR G41Thumb button.pngG41 , G36's skill has weaker potency but the same duration.

After modification G36's skill 1 is on the same modifier as G41's. Modified G36 gains a second skill "Arclight Pact", the pact augments her basic skill by providing a small rate of fire bonus, as well as providing some evasion bonus to T-Dolls (Any type of T-Dolls) standing on her bonus tiles at the time of skill activation. The RoF bonus gained from other dolls standing on her bonus tiles can stack twice, conveniently G36 only has two bonus tiles. Both the rate of fire bonus to self and evasion bonus to allies only lasts 5 seconds, while the main skill lasts 10 (At max rank).

Though Arclight Pact's effect will only trigger when there is at least one active doll standing on G36's tiles at the time of activation, this adds a factor of doll positioning into consideration when using modified G36, especially in combat that requires unit movement micro managing. If there are no units present within G36's bonus tiles at time of her skill activation, G36 herself and two other dolls will miss out on a chance of receiving combat bonuses (or receive less bonus if there is one doll on her tiles at time of activation), and for the next available opportunity will have to wait 16 seconds.

Stats[edit]

All the damage output related stats of G36 are rated below average due to her low growth rating, though her HP rating is above average, scoring 635. Modified version of G36 received some minor stats buff, bringing her damage, rate of fire and accuracy rating up to an average level amongst all the AR T-Dolls, as well as a small health boost on top of her already high HP.

Modified G36 stats at level 120 compared to average stats between all AR dolls, green: G36, red: average, orange: average from 5* rarity ARs only.

Combat Performance[edit]

By default her damage output is considered low due to the low stats, combined with her lower skill effect magnitude, G36 is not really a high damage output by late game stage, T-Doll G41 can be considered a stronger version of G36 and can completely replace her in most formations. Due to the excessive amount of AR dolls released in to the game, the top AR damage dealers are all of 5* rarity. Despite being unable to reach the top quarter, in terms of combat rating, G36 is somewhat middle ground amongst 4* AR DPS unit, she can also easily defeat most 3* rarity AR dolls in damage output. G36 can also compete against dolls such as AR TAR-21Thumb button.pngTAR-21  and AR SAR-21Thumb button.pngSAR-21  in longer duration battles, and could potentially keep up with AR CZ2000Thumb button.pngCZ2000  and AR CR-21Thumb button.pngCR-21  in terms of raw damage per second.

Physical damage output of G36 is significantly improved after T-Doll modifications. The improved magnitude of skill 1 brought G36 on the same level as G41, damage per shot is improved. The short duration rate of fire bonus provides a similar effect akin to the Charge Focus skill ARs (such as AR ART556Thumb button.pngART556  and AR M82Thumb button.pngM82 ), damage per second is improved for 5 seconds after skill activation. G36's low accuracy is also improved with the addition of her exclusive equipment as it provides a +8 bonus.

Modified G36 has a much better combat performance thanks to her improved stats and added skill 2, with her high empowered uptime skill, at level 120 her combat rating is likely rated top 10 amongst all AR dolls.

Anti-armor performance:

G36's skill grants her additional damage (70-75%), her per shot damage receives increase. To an extend some armoured enemy units can be dealt with by simply brute forcing with high damage dolls, without having the needs of AP ammo equipment. Though G36 may not be as good at that task as other AR dolls such as AR OTs-14Thumb button.pngOTs-14  and AR 9A-91Thumb button.png9A-91  at night, but she can still be used in this way in some situations. With the release of Deep Dive, more and more bosses (For example Gaia from Deep Dive, Executioner EX from Singularity) are now present in game with a low armour value present, this means AR dolls who can improve their own damage per shot are favoured over those who cannot.

Long duration fights:

10 seconds of active skill time with a 6 second downtime in between each power-up, G36's total empowered uptime is fairly high (62.5%), This trait means she fairly decent choice for long duration fights, such as boss battles.

Formation[edit]

Tile Bonus[edit]

G36 is a 4* rarity doll, but her tile bonuses and shape are as strong as 5* rarity AR dolls. She provides a large damage bonus and a small rate of fire bonus to SMG dolls, these bonuses are considered valuable to DPS type SMG units due to the magnitude.

Affects Submachine guns
Increases damage by 30%
Increases rate of fire by 10% (15% at modification stage 1)
High magnitude

Despite her sub-optimal combat performance by late game, a few players still chose to use G36 in their echelon to boost their DPS type SMGs simply due to her powerful tile bonuses and effective coverage.

  • It is rare for AR dolls to provide 30% or higher damage bonus on their tiles, example of high damage bonus tiles are AR HK416Thumb button.pngHK416  and AR G11Thumb button.pngG11 , HK416 can provide 40% damage bonus, while G11 can provide 30% damage and 10% evasion, both of them can only provide to one SMG doll in front of them.
  • T-Doll AR OTs-12Thumb button.pngOTs-12  has a similar shaped tile to G36, albeit the inverted orientation, however she can only provide 15% damage and 20% rate of fire.
  • The closest tile to G36's in terms of bonus is AR AK-12Thumb button.pngAK-12 's, who provides 25% damage and 15% rate of fire. AK-12 can provide one more slot, thus her positional flexibility is higher than G36's

With her tile positions, she is often placed in position 7 or 4 within an echelon, so the front row benefits from her bonus tiles. Despite the tile coverage is large, having more than one DPS type SMG in one echelon will have reduce the chance of the squadron's survival, so realistically the tile boost only really applies to one frontal SMG unit, since the main tank benefits little from damage and rate of fire.

For players who enjoys running more than one DPS SMG in the echelon G36 can provide a two tile of damage and rate of fire bonus boosting up to two DPS SMG units, which they may find useful.

Flexible placement

For standard ARSMG echelons G36 can actually be placed directly behind the DPS SMG doll for the sake of better protection and to receive their tile bonus, since she can boost the tile directly in front of her. Even if not all the tiles are being used, a large coverage tile contributes to the concept of flexible placement, mean G36 is more compatible with ARSMG echelons since she can be placed easily.

A good comparison example being AR K2Thumb button.pngK2 's tile shape, despite having the high magnitude 25% damage and 50% accuracy bonus, K2 is not able to buff the tile directly in front of her, which restricts her potential placement within an echelon.

Skill augmented tile effects

Modified G36 skill 2 provides a small evasion bonus of 10 ~ 25% to any T-Dolls standing on them at the time of skill activation, giving her offensive orientated tile a little bit of defensiveness.

Compatibility[edit]

Due to her lower innate rate of fire, G36 can receive up to 67% (66.66%) of rate of fire bonus before hitting the 120 cyclic cap. Her relatively low innate damage also means boosting her damage attribute can also improve her damage output.

It is worth taking into consideration, that G36's modification improved her default rate of fire, the newly obtained skill 2 also added a fair rate of fire bonus which is dependent on how many dolls are on her tiles, as it stacks twice, G36 can get up to 21% extra RoF (arriving at 92 shots per minute) from having two dolls present on her tiles at the time of skill activation. A point to take into consideration when making formations with G36, as to not cap the 120 in game rate of fire limit.

SMG Dolls optimised for offense

As mentioned in the prior passage, G36's tiles are offensive oriented, SMG dolls who are designed to deal damage will benefit greatly from standing on her tiles, a few in particular candidates stands out:

  • SMG VectorThumb button.pngVector 's own incendiary grenade skill benefits greatly from the 30% damage stats increase, she is also able to provide rate of fire bonus directly back to G36.
  • SMG SR-3MPThumb button.pngSR-3MP  is often considered the go-to DPS SMG, for she has strong damage output, high up time skill, as well as the desirable rate of fire and crit rate tile bonuses, a fine pairing choice with G36.
  • Both SMG JS 9Thumb button.pngJS 9  and SMG X95Thumb button.pngX95  have a very nice back row covering tile which makes them suitable for position 8 within an echelon directly in front of G36 typically. JS 9 has the same type of bonus as SR-3MP as well as boasting some degree of offensive capability. While X95's tiles may not be as desirable as it provides no crit chance, it does provide rate of fire and accuracy, X95's offensive capabilities are however a lot stronger than JS 9.

Other potential formation candidates based on tile shape and bonuses as following:

  • Slot 5 SMG dolls: SMG UMP9Thumb button.pngUMP9  (primarily rate of fire, modification possible), SMG RO635Thumb button.pngRO635  (primarily rate of fire), SMG UMP45Thumb button.pngUMP45  (crit rate and damage, modification possible), SMG C-MSThumb button.pngC-MS  (primarily damage, small rate of fire) and SMG G36CThumb button.pngG36C  (small damage and rate of fire bonus, force shield skill).
  • Slot 8 or 2 SMG Honey BadgerThumb button.pngHoney Badger  (crit rate and damage, but primarily slot 8) and SMG PP-19Thumb button.pngPP-19  (large damage increase, grenadier)

Equipment[edit]

Slot 1

G36 Hybrid Optics

Exclusive equipment given to G36 after her stage 3 modification, it provides an additional 8 accuracy bonus on top of the +48% crit rate bonus of a 5* rarity Telescopic Sight, a fine addition to the T-Doll.

PEQ-16A

It is advised to fit night combat optic on compatible DPS units for night sorties.
Slot 2

APCR High-Velocity Ammo

Extra damage will improve AR doll's damage output by a fair margin, this equipment has the highest upgrade priority recommended.
Slot 3

IOP X4 Exoskeleton

Basic equipment for AR dolls. As ARs are not meant to be taking direct fire, one can reserve their best exoskeletons for dedicated tank classes like SMGs or high-evasion HGs.
