Weapon Background[edit]

The Steyr TMP (Taktische Maschinenpistole, or 'Tactical Machine Pistol') is a compact, magazine-fed, select-fire 9×19mm Parabellum caliber machine pistol manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher of Austria.[1]

The TMP is a blowback-operated firearm, and fires from a closed bolt. This helps to make the weapon more controllable during fully-automatic fire. Both the upper and lower receiver are made from polymer, and it features a locked breech design with a rotating barrel. When a shot is fired, the bolt and barrel move backward slightly. This causes the barrel to rotate clockwise slightly, which unlocks the bolt and allows the weapon to cycle. The rotation is controlled by a small cam pin on the barrel that follows the spiral groove inside the receiver. The charging handle is located on the rear of the weapon, and a vertical foregrip is present to aid in handling the weapon.[2]

In 2001, Steyr sold the design to Swiss manufacturer Brügger & Thomet, who started producing it as the MP9.[3]

  • Shortly after TMP was obtainable in the CN/TW/KR servers, players discovered that her character description lines within the in-game index was bugged. All of her index lines were replaced with lines of text repeatedly saying "指挥官", which translates to "Commander". This lead to some fan-art depicting her as a yandere, despite her character not being portrayed as one.
