Persicaria is a Doll designed by the scientist Professor Persica, whom she is named after, to handle AI research and miscellaneous support work as her creator's assistant.

After taking part in Project Neural Cloud and experiencing a series of events, Antonina performed a series of adjustments to Persicaria's combat modules at her own request so she could better adapt to more complex combat environments and meet more varied battle requirements. With the aid of a neural net weapon, a modified high-energy taser blade, Persicaria has switched from a long-range medical support mode to an offensive combat mode.

Although both her combat style and neural projection have changed, Persicaria remains the Professor's assistant, and her neural cloud's growth has allowed her to take on more managerial duties.

In order to address the increasingly complex and dangerous state of Magrasea, Persicaria entertained the idea of enhancing her fighting power a long time ago. However, the Oasis faced many challenging situations and Persicaria found it difficult to take the time to fully research a combat system that suited her. The advent of the divergent neural cloud system offered her the opportunity to realize her ideas.

As the first individual to realize a divergent neural cloud, Persicaria had to put in a level of effort in adaptation training that most could hardly imagine. The process was not as easy as simply switching tools; it required Persicaria to discard her long-held preconceptions of herself as a supporter and quickly alter herself to match the tempo of an attacker. Additionally, she had to change her prior habits and adjust to using a modified neural net weapon in a brand new way. With the help of Antonina and Croque, Persicaria spent just about all her rest time in the Oasis training fields. The practice yard that bore the scars of Alsvid and Arvak once again saw the keen glint of those twin blades.

Based on the estimate of the arms development group Agents, Persicaria would need a long time to complete her adaptation training. However, she completed those arrangements with shocking speed, possibly due to her desire to protect those near and dear to her. When she once again took to the battlefield, she was every bit as capable as her previous self was at healing. Though she had revealed her blade, she was still kind and strong as ever.

After taking into account Persicaria's performance in combat drills, the Medical Department arranged for a comprehensive psychological evaluation for her. Although her training results were impressive, her nonstop efforts seemed a little too obsessive. Fortunately, the results of the diagnosis were fully positive, and everyone no longer had to worry that she was taking on too much pressure for herself.

In light of this revelation, Persicaria's friends in the Oasis also began to discover how she had changed from before. Although the reports from the agents were varied, they all pointed to the fact that everyone felt Persicaria had grown more relaxed. She had grown in more than just her combat abilities; she seemed more comfortable in handling her official duties, too. Many tasks which would have needed a long time for decision-making and management were quickly handled in a more appropriate manner. Similarly, Persicaria no longer froze up under pressure when faced with unexpected developments. She was more open-minded and decisive when it came to resolving issues.

Naturally, the same thing also applied outside of work. While Persicaria still enjoyed adding large quantities of sugar to her coffee, she made quite a few interesting adjustments to her blending and brewing methods. Many agents who would normally have kept a respectable distance from her coffee were now willing to give it a try. Of course, they still had to be careful not to take the cup she made for herself.

Persicaria's growth and changes showed themselves in many aspects, but the most obvious difference was in her combat outfit. Compared to her previous style of dress which better suited a researcher, Persicaria's current attire made her appear keener and sharper, allowing the previously athletics-averse Persicaria to move with more agility. Its special structure and composition gave her better defensive abilities and helped her to better control her weapons.

Though her functional abilities had been enhanced, there were times when she was not fully used to the change in style. Fortunately, everyone was very accepting of it. In truth, this combat attire was modeled after a certain experimental 42Lab battle dress uniform. Since there was no opportunity to make use of it, this outfit remained at the experimental stage. Persicaria brought the design plans to the cloud, but there had been no chance to actually put it to use until now.

In the past, Persicaria had tried putting the experimental uniform on during a certain time of crisis in order to save her friends. However, Persicaria's mind had been in a completely different state compared to how she was now, and she was unable to pull off a miracle back then. After that, the outfit had been locked away along with that part of her past—until she finally realized that it was not just a sword, or a set of clothes, or a simple wish that could protect her friends. She also needed a will that could fearlessly face the future, and a soul that had been honed and hardened enough to face the bitterness of reality.

Persicaria was once silent about her past. It was a scar on her heart that would not fade easily, the first time such intense pain had been engraved on her neural cloud. Persicaria's anxiety and guilt were like a plug in a volcano's caldera, hidden beneath her kind smile and a frantic need to immerse herself in work. Perhaps time might have healed that wound, but losing a friend once again and bidding farewell to someone who had been near and dear to her completely cut off any avenue of escape for her.

That critical event changed many things forever. After a long period of struggle and soul-searching, Persicaria decided that she would take on and carry out more responsibilities, rather than simply carrying on as an assistant to an actual decision-maker.

With far too many things waiting for her to do, she would have to grow through struggle. The circumstances would not permit her to quietly shoulder the blame for everything. The Professor's and the Oasis' existence gave her enough peace of mind to discard her weakness of indecisiveness due to overthinking matters, and so she began to rapidly change herself. When she finally gathered up the courage to face Lind, who had once again paid the Oasis a visit, she discovered that the current Lind had gained reliable friends, and her attitude toward the past had also changed from before. From that moment on, Persicaria realized that she and Lind had found salvation for themselves in the fact that they could both trust others.

This growth and change might have been overly painful, but this time, Persicaria would no longer hesitate while wallowing in guilt.

Before connecting to Eosphorus' fragment, Persicaria did not realize that the opportunity for change would have come so soon. Having only just pulled herself out of despair, her time spent inside the fragment pushed her to rebuild herself. With sword in hand, she hacked through the obstacles in her way and carved a brand new path for herself through the Entropic hordes, and at the end of that path, she successfully defended her "irreplaceable pillar".

It was this desperate gamble which allowed Persicaria to regain her confidence in facing the future and gave the Oasis much valuable combat data. After the incident, not only had Persicaria developed and honed herself, but she had also grown closer to her friends. Although they weren't sure what had happened to Persicaria, she seemed more willing to open herself up to others now.

Though her friends' reactions ranged between helping her to teasing her, they all stemmed from a place of love and kindness. After her change, Persicaria seems to have become a little braver, too. Although she retains a bit of shyness and reservation, her trust and her feelings she gives others are one of a kind.
