The Persicaria Type Doll, or namely "Persicaria", is a privately owned research Doll, developed by Dr. Persica, founder of the 16Lab research institute under 42Lab. Modeled after her developer, Persicaria focuses on the research of artificial intelligence. In this field, she is both the researcher and the research subject.

The unique relationship between Dolls and AIs makes it very likely for Dolls researching this topic to experience physical and mental speculative dysfunctions. To solve this issue, Persicaria is equipped with a unique data buffer. When a logical contradiction is detected in her Neural Cloud System, the affected part will be quarantined for logic reconfiguration to be performed in the back-end, while providing redundant data for temporary front-end system operations.

After 42Lab launched Project Neural Cloud, Dr. Persica sent her to participate in the experiment in 42Lab for reasons unknown.

According to a certain 42Lab researcher, his first encounter with Persicaria happened naturally. On the morning of ██, █, he pushed open the door to Dr. Persica's office, ready to salvage the documents he needed from a messy pile leftover from an all-nighter; but Persicaria, whose appearance was almost exactly the same as her creator, had already sorted out everything. Smiling, she handed him the research documents he was looking for.

After that, Persicaria quickly took over a part of her creator's work. Thanks to her remarkable performance, Dr. Persica granted her the same authority as human researchers, allowing her to participate in many important scientific research projects of various research organizations as an independent Doll researcher.

As for questions like how she created Persicaria's human form, what kind of technology was applied, and why did she do so, Dr. Persica simply prevaricated by saying, "I did it on a whim during my spare time". This explanation was somehow convincing, considering how she has always been a maverick. On top of that, since her efficiency has been excellent, the researchers gradually warmed up to her as a special colleague.

Even among the researchers of 42Lab, Persicaria was the best of the best. She seemed to be uniquely gifted in the field of artificial intelligence. Her performance always exceeded everyone's expectations, be it during project conception or problem-solving. During the first two years after her appearance, Persicaria provided several crucial research ideas and detailed implementation plans for the five projects she had participated in, making breakthroughs in three different research fields. At the same time, Persicaria led optimization research on the Doll data buffer system with herself as the experimental subject, which laid an important theoretical foundation for the research and development of a new generation of Dolls.

Playing key roles in multiple important projects earned Persicaria recognition inside the research institute. However, few people were aware that she had sacrificed her rest, and even mealtime, for those accomplishments. Different from the conventional Dolls, Persicaria was built with a large portion of bionic modular components instead of mechanical parts. Therefore, rest and food were particularly important to Persicaria when most Dolls found them unnecessary. However, she still put work before her personal needs and never gave herself a single day off.

No matter how many all-nighters she had pulled in a row before, Persicaria always seemed organized and energetic when she interacted with colleagues. The increasingly sweetened and concentrated coffee by her hand was the only trace of her overwork.

Persicaria seldom talks about herself. She tends to hide away and leave the spotlight to others when the time comes for commendations. Perhaps this is partly for her own protection—thanks to having kept a low profile, little proof of Persicaria's existence can be found on public sources; on the other hand, according to an orange-haired female Doll who wishes to remain anonymous, perhaps it also stems from her doubt about her own abilities.

The name "Persicaria" was listed among the many developers at the time of the announcement of Project Neural Cloud. Persicaria was involved in the project as both a test subject and a developer, and she was in contact with many of the subject Dolls early on during the recruitment process.

Thus, several years after the "Wipe-off Incident" when the Dolls awoke from their neural cocoons, Persicaria naturally assumed the role of leader of the "Exiles" until the arrival of the Professor.

From the difficult explorations and team-building at the beginning, to the construction of the Oasis and the rescuing of stranded Dolls, Persicaria has put in an unimaginable amount of effort. Most Dolls remember her to be always busy working with a gentle smile on her face. Only a selected few know what she hides under that smile.
