NATO
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, is a military alliance between several countries of North America and Europe, established in 1949. Many Tactical Dolls of Griffin & Kryuger use cartridges standardized by NATO in their weapons.
The exact composition of NATO throughout the years in the Girls' Frontline universe is unknown. It was involved in the Cold War,[1] but some countries of Northern Europe left the organization during the Cuban Crisis, when the United States agreed to withdraw their nuclear warheads from Europe in exchange for the Soviet Union removing the Morons from Cuba.[2] During World War Three, NATO fought against the Neo-Soviet Union before losing the European front in 2050,[3] leading to the collapse and capitulation of the organization. Former NATO soldiers conscripted from European countries contributed to persistent hostility against the NSU and the Pan-European Union in Yellow Zones after the war, and NATO equipment abandoned in Europe quickly found its way in the hands of dangerous groups.[4] There are persistent rumors that Paradeus was a NATO remnant organization in Europe.[5]
