Weapon Background

Commercial export variant of the servicing QCW-05 SMG of People's Liberation Army/People's Armed Police, JS signifies the designing company Jianshe Industries while the number 9 indicates the weapon's 9 calibre, JS 9 is also known as CS/LS2. Similar to QCW-05, JS 9 classifies as a bullpup SMG/PDW, however the chambering calibre is changed to the more globally accepted 9x19mm from the Chinese 5.8x21mm.

Trivia

• Despite the artist getting the fact JS 9 uses MP5 magazines, even getting the different magazine catch, charging handle cut outs, and screws/pins right for the final production model. It is missing either charging handle.
  • It should have been named CS/LS2, its official designation as the drawing is based on the final production model rather than any of the prototypes with the given name.
  • It is not actually a MP5 magazine, but rather something compatible and interchangeable with them, they have a distinct look in comparison.
• JS 9 shares an awful resemblance to ^SMG Type 79Type 79Type 79, including similar colour palette, gear/equipment, clothing, and design features including but not limited to synthetic limbs and hair style.
  • Although sharing similar hair styles, JS 9 has terrifically more hair than Type 79 in comparison.
  • Both characters share the same artist.
