Prologue: Blast Zone

1200-1300 hour of Singularity, prior to the makeshift Collapse bomb detonation, SOCOM units had already broken through the HQ defense line of G&K, Kalina is organising retreats for the remaining G&K T-Dolls within sector S09. She gathered up two squadrons to defend set locations and ensure the successful retreat of larger forces. ^AR 9A-919A-919A-91 and ^SMG ThompsonThompsonThompson are leaders of the two squadrons.

"Where is the Commander? We need orders, otherwise we cannot organize effective counter strikes." 9A informed Kalina. But the Commander is busy commanding another battlefield right now. "The enemy are regular military forces, without the Boss, we can't hold out for long!" Thompson added. At this moment, Kalina decided to be the human commanding officer. Soon enough the SOCOM armored units became too much for the two T-Doll echelons to handle, they were unable to penetrate the heavily armored military grade walkers and tanks, but there were still so many dolls who had yet to be retreated.

A green flash occurred at a distance, followed by deafening explosion from a distance and blast shockwaves. A moment later the T-Dolls had regained consciousness, they reported that the SOCOM units had stopped moving. "Quickly, regain the grounds, prepare for their counter strikes!" Thompson ordered, "Kalina we need another wave of supplies, get the logistic echelon here!". Kalina coughed, at first she thought it was just from the dust kicked up by the blast wind, she quickly sent ^SMG MP40MP40MP40 and her echelon for the logistic delivery. Suddenly something struck her mind, the T-Dolls had never seen this but she, she knows what this means, what this could be, how the green flash and her sudden allergic reactions are linked. Kalina's desperate attempts to reach the Commander had all failed.

The Commander, you, woken up, surrounded by four familiar looking... Humanoids? The creatures are known as Nyto, why are they called that, you do not know, why do they look and sound so familiar, you do not know, why you just mumbled 'M4...A1...' out of your mouth, you do not know. Nyto spoke in an orderly fashion, only one speaks at a time, the same one does not speak twice consecutively. They told you they acquired you from the field, treated you from the radiation damage of the Collapse reaction. They told you how long it had been since the last time you remembered, 9 weeks. They also told you their master wants information out of you, specifically around the time after the Collapse bomb detonation and the series of operation you commanded.

The Nyto does not answer to any irrelevant or inquisitive questions of yours, not even a glass of water. "Your body condition is back to optimal level, we can proceed with the work.", one of the Nyto spoke, in a voice so familiar to you, yet so... cold, emotionless and agitating. "To show your willingness to cooperate, you have 10 seconds to get up, otherwise we will see this as a sign of defiance and you will be punished accordingly.", "10...", "9..." Nyto began her merciless countdown, "8...", "7...", in the voice you so familiar with and in the voice you hate so much, "6...", "...".

Why have they stopped? Three of the Nyto had turned away, only one Nyto now faces you, you recognise that grin of hers... The Nyto facing you hinted you of her identity by performing a slash motion down her left eye, "We're here to rescue you to Commander, just sit tight.". The subjugated Nyto exchanged words with you, but due to the Nyto's biological body structures, extended period of subjugation isn't possible, weeks of preparation had to be made just for this two minutes. Subjugated Nyto told you that the Nyto creatures were created purely for the sake of physical torture based interrogation, they had failed to extract the information directly out of your brain, hence why they woke you up from the sleep. The rescue is on the way but you have to buy them some time, by making up convincing and reasonable stories.

Subjugated Nyto also told you a few other things, such as that she will be communicating with you with this micro communicator stuck on your back from this point on, she also told you a pistol is hidden beneath the interrogation chair for your usage during the escape. Lastly, she told you how to identify the next subjugated Nyto unit, the passphrase is "I've brought you the ill-luck.".

With the Nyto relinquished, you got up on your feet, "Very good, you only took 4 seconds.", the Nyto escorted you to the interrogation room and began the process of interrogation. You began describing what happened immediately after the Collapse detonation.

In the middle of your command post, you saw a bright green flash, you sensed your body react violently to this light, you felt unconscious to the floor. A set amount of time later, you were woken up by two voices, one calm and collected, the other loud and foul. They performed first aid on you and you regained consciousness, the dolls introduced themselves: the pink haired, calm and polite girl with the large calibre sniper rifle is ^RF M82A1M82A1M82A1, the small blonde devilish looking girl with a pump-action shotgun is called ^SG M870M870M870.

M82 told you that they are here by the order of Kalina, to secure and extract the Commander, something crossed your mind when you were about to leave, if you step away from the post, who will lead the G&K T-Dolls left on the field, who will secure the defense perimeter for the retreating forces, who will keep Kalina safe...? You stayed on your post, the two T-Dolls obeyed your decisions and left to secure a defensive perimeter around the command post. Your operation began, the second nightfall you spent in the land of sector S09 approaches.

Hearing this, Nyto merely commented on how your provided speech matched their Intel, however they now want you to describe the more detailed interactions you had with member of AR Team, ^AR M4 SOPMOD IIM4 SOPMOD IIM4 SOPMOD II and member of task force 404, ^AR HK416HK416HK416.

Your interrogation begins.

Chapter 1: Dawn Break on the Opposite Coast

Chapter 1 story began shortly after the end of chapter 10 Emergency, SOP2 rampaged on the battlefield for God knows how long, tearing apart waves after waves of Sangvis Ferri onslaughts until no one was left on the field...

E1-1 Abandoned Object

Gravely wounded, collapsed on the floor, you heard a familiar voice calling out for you from an open channel, but the signal itself is red... ^AR M16A1M16A1M16A1?! Sangvis Ferri?!

"I don't have the time, this is an open channel, fix yourself up and make your way to the safe room, she can still be saved." the voice speaks, sister M16 speaks. "You have the best compatibility with Sangvis Ferri modules out of the entire AR Team, you can get yourself operational again with the nearby Ferri corpses." Isn't it ironic coming from someone who practically radiates Sangvis Ferri signal but yet still looks like a T-Doll?

Did M16 betray us? Can I still trust her when she had became a Ferri android? You cut off the communication out of fury and confusion, you don't know what to do from here, it was never your task to make decision, ^AR M4A1M4A1M4A1 did that for you back in AR Team, even when she was gone, ^SMG RO635RO635RO635 decided for you. but now, you have to make decisions yourself.

You trusted M16, began fixing yourself with Sangvis Ferri parts.

You decided M16 can no longer be trusted, you proceeded to destroy, annihilate, raze anything remotely Sangvis Ferri related.

E1-A1 Nightfall

"TRAITOR!! YOU TRAITOR!! I WILL NEVER LISTEN TO THE WORDS OF A TRAITOR!!" SOP2 continued her rampage on the battlefield... "KILL... KILL ALL THE SANGVIS FERRI..."

"No... M4A1, M4A1 where are you..."

"No, I cannot listen to the words of a traitor, I have to make my own decisions, I have to..."

One hour later, SOP2 assaulted, breached the Ferri gathering point and started destruction.

"Haven't... found... M4A1... isn't here..."

"Carry... on..."

You felt a hit from behind and a gunshot, you crashed to the muddy ground, all the Sangvis Ferri remnants gathered around you. Majority of your functions were cut off, you did not have the time to react to what was about to happen, you heard something M16 said in the communication, but it doesn't matter anymore. You are now broken, you are now alone, you are unable to proceed further, the cold nightfall swallowed you and this cruel world, you were not able to get up again. Was this the ending you were looking for? Or was it the answer.

But this isn't what we want to hear.

E1-2 Safe Room

You struggled towards the point marked by M16, she asked you whether you can perform self system diagnostics, you reported multiple sections are critically wounded, you are below 10% operational capacity. M16 had lead you to a recent battle zone, full of available parts. "You have the best compatibility with Sangvis Ferri modules out of the entire AR Team, as long as you can fix yourself, you can save her." M16 reminded you. Can you really trust her you asked, but then M16 reminded you of your core order, the singular order binds AR Team together, to protect M4A1 under any circumstances.

"If you still wish to trust in me, then fix yourself, and hurry back to her side."

You began the process of integrating modules, you asked M16 why she became a Ferri, is it because of Parapluie? She told you it was her will. You told her you can no longer trust her from now since she now serves Sangvis Ferri. She forgave you, this was the bottom line order programmed into you. She urged you to hurry up with the repairs, since you know exactly what parts your body is missing and exactly how to handle Sangvis Ferri components.

You told M16 that you cannot act without any further background information, once again M16 urged you to hurry up with your repairs, she will tell you once you finish. You asked her since the core order is still in place, why can't she go and rescue her, M16 told you that she cannot appear just yet, they are counting on you.

You ripped off a limb from a near by Ferri android remains, aimed the connecting points to your arm sockets. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....", you let out a scream from the pain induced, but you have restored basic operational capability. You realised you are by yourself and everyone in AR Team had gone, you let out a small weep. M16 asked whether you are crying, you denied it, M16 did not persist further, she tells you to toughen up, remember the last known coordinate of M4A1, get there now and perhaps you can still make it in time.

"M4... RO... Wait for me..."

You arrived at the safe room, you saw the familiar T-Doll in front of you, but her Digi-mind is completely inactive. "M4A1, whats wrong, answer me...". she did not answer you, you lean in closer in attempt to shake her, you were stopped by M16. You asked if M16 knows what happened to M4, she told you that M4A1 entered anti-stimulation mode, M16 asked you whether if you can access her Digi-mind via tier 2 layer connectivity, you tried, M4A1 isn't accepting any external connections.

M16 told you this is for the best, and you should leave her be for now, even with the enemies around the doorstep. You called her out, you think M16 wants to turn M4A1 in to the Sangvis Ferri, she simply told you Sangvis Ferri had already retreated, she promised you that this is the safest place for M4A1. You trusted M16 again, you walked up to RO who was knocked out next to M4A1, "RO, let's go!", you carried her and walked out of the safe room, ignoring everything else M16 have said.

But you didn't get far, your body cannot hold RO's body weight, both of you collapsed in the rain. "Don't do things with no meanings--", "THEN WHAT ACTUALLY HAVE MEANINGS--!!", you can no longer hold back your anger against M16, "Everyone had left me... No one is with me anymore... Then what's the difference between you lot being alive or dead?". You started to question your will to live. "Let me save one friend at least!", you understand that even if RO can restore her Digi-mind format, she will lose all the memories of you and M4A1 during this sortie. You apologized to RO for what you are about to do, you ripped open RO's body and recovered her Digi-mind core. "We can go home together like this..."

You decided to leave this sector, M16 bids farewell to you as she can no longer reach you from the communications, you thanked her for waking you up this time and disappeared into the rain. From here on you will be making your own choices, and you chose to return to G&K. The rain continues, you remembered that forcefully removing a Digi-mind core for an extended period of time means the cessation processes, you immediately thought about a list of possible ways of powering up RO again, but thinking was never your thing. You continued down your journey while trying to figure out this problem at hand.

You looked at RO's core, you put RO inside of your pockets, "Let's go home together RO!"

E1-3 Spare Power Unit

While later, on your travels you are suddenly reminded that G&K T-Doll power units are usually with the logistics department, they often put them in storage, that isn't something the military need, so there should still be plenty. You opened your electronic map and located a few resupply points, you plotted a course to the closest one, but you also detected a lot of Sangvis Ferri unit signals. It's time to be more tactical, learn from M4A1! "Let's go RO, we'll wake you up soon enough!"

Fighting through the Ferri forces, you gained access to the G&K storage, however you discovered all the power units are missing, and the footsteps on the ground. "The Dinergates!", Ferri must have stolen all the supplies with their Dinergate units!

You rushed out of the storage facility and chased the escaping Sangvis Ferri units across the battlefield.

E1-4 Storage Point

You located the Sangvis Ferri storage, you also realised there aren't really any high end units guarding it. You double checked your electronic map just in case, scanning result shows that the Ferri main forces are gathering above the storage, "We'll soon be together again RO!".

You joy was cut short, you noticed a couple of G&K unit signals on your electronic map, "Could they be the echelon that had to abandon this supply storage to escape the siege? So thats why the Ferri had left their own base to attack them...", You hesitated, you were never good at decisions, you tried to imagine what RO would do under these situations, RO would definitely say: "Our friends are in trouble, no matter how dangerous we must go save them, because we are comrades on the battlefield.". But you hesitates still, you believe that those T-Dolls can back up their memories, while you only have one chance, you also think that you lack the command module to effectively command them, you also believe there is a Ferri Ringleader present and it would be too risky to take that route.

You were never good at making decisions, you stood still waiting for an answer, the world remained silent to you. "Let's just get going, I'll decide when it comes to it."

You decided to infiltrate the Sangvis Ferri storage and secure a power unit for RO.

You rushed towards the front line to assist your comrades in danger.

E1-B1 Farewell, Scarecrow

You sneaked into the Ferri storage with ease and located a power unit, just when you were overdosed in the joy of reviving RO, you noticed the nearby G&K unit signal disappeared after a loud explosion. Scarecrow detected you within their storage, she questioned your motive of hiding in their storage, she commented that you extended your life by a fair margin by sacrificing your G&K comrades. "SHUT UP, YOU BASTARD! I WILL END YOU IN WAYS YOU CANNOT EVEN PROCESS!". You rushed into the battlefield against Scarecrow, after the fight against G&K, her remaining unit count are low enough for you to take her head on.

You've cut through the remaining Ferri units and reached Scarecrow, you avenged your fallen comrades. "This won't be the end, with your current body shape, you cannot leave here alive.", you don't care about that, you just want to go as far as you can, and now you've completed the vendetta, "Why revenge? Do you even know who they are? Did you see their faces before their death?"

You cannot reply to this.

"I saw it... I saw all of their faces... I understand those T-Dolls better than you, those T-Dolls you call comrades."

"Did you ever cared about them? You were always by yourself... for yourself..."

"I did the unimaginable for someone I care for!", you barked at Scarecrow.

"Really now, can you say her name? Can you say this name without any regrets?"

You cannot, you pointed your weapon at Scarecrow, she's laughing at you... Her last word to you was: "Pitiful..."

You crashed to the ground shortly after, you must live, you have to live.

E1-B2 Battlefield with no Blood

You are surrounded shortly by KCCO ground forces.

"Target located, requesting orders."

"Roger."

Their radio chatter were merciless, you think to yourself, is this the end?

The soldier aimed the weapon at you. "Haaa... I did my best, I guess..."

Gunshots was the last thing you heard.

Nothing left behind, nothing changed, the gunshots stopped SOP2's footsteps in a battlefield with no blood, forever.

But we know you are not telling the truth.

The Punishment

Nyto stopped you in your speech. "Commander, SOP2 did not die, she lived, you lied to us, this kind of actions are meaningless."

Nyto moved rapidly towards you, you did not caught glimpse of her motions but your body knows full well of what she did. Her actions continued, those arms are not arms, they are tools of interrogation.

Your punishment ended, the doll showed no emotions, no enjoyment and no mercy. You clench your teeth in pain, your body hurts, you're now bleeding. Your expressions looks horrid, possibly worst than when the Collapse bomb detonated...

"Interrogation continues. If speech does not fit our Intel, we will consider escalating further interrogating actions. Commander, please re-structure your speech."

You understood, you spit out the blood in your mouth, there was probably a teeth in there somewhere, you breathed heavily for a moment, then kept on thinking while enduring the pain.

But that's another story, you need to reconsider everything.
