Weapon Background
The P50 is an American 5.7mmx28 semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by KelTec CNC Industries, Inc. It was first revealed in December 2020 and would later be released to the US civilian market in January 2021 [1].
The P50 has a number of unique features — most notably, the weapon feeds from the same 50-round magazine found on the FN SMG P90P90P90. The top of the gun can open up 90 degrees clockwise, and it is connected to the lower receiver by a joint near the muzzle. In order to reload the P50, the user will need to break open the gun to replace the magazine (which is shown in P50's damaged art). This is done by flipping a release switch located above the grip. [2] When the P50 does not have a magazine inserted, an obvious empty gap can be seen through the middle of the gun.
The weapon uses a simple straight blowback system, which makes it a relatively controllable and soft-recoiling gun to shoot even when held as a pistol. Like the P90, the rounds are rotated 90 degrees to align with the chamber. It features an AR-style charging handle as well as an ambidextrous safety selector. The overall barrel length is 9.6 inches, making it slightly shorter than the standard P90's 10.4-inch barrel while offering improved velocity compared to 5.7-chambered pistols, such as the FN HG Five-seveNFive-seveNFive-seveN. The weapon can be fitted with a stock or brace, effectively turning it into a pistol calibre carbine. It can also be equipped with a sling and held in place while firing through sling tension.
The P50 has applications in recreational and professional settings. Some have proposed that the P50 may be suitable for backup troops, as it offers greater range, firepower and capacity than a pistol while being less cumbersome than a rifle. The ability to fire the P50 accurately under sling tension could make it a desirable choice for security personnel, as it can be realistically concealed on its sling beneath a suit jacket [3].
The ST50 kit for the P50, made by firearms accessory manufacturer Stuff and Things, addresses the biggest complaint about the P50 - the need to break open the gun in order to reload it. This kit allows the magazines to be inserted along the bottom of the gun in a similar fashion to the SMG PP-19PP-19PP-19 Bizon. [4]
Official Character Description
A maverick who prefers fighting solo. She is obsessed with being unique and would feel extremely embarrassed if she finds herself sharing any sort of similarity with others. This is why even though she is pretty good friends with P90, she often feels an uncontrollable urge to murder her. She is inseparable with a robot bear named Heradon, whose function is currently unclear.

Trivia
- The P50 is often compared to the E-11 blasters carried by stormtroopers in the Star Wars franchise, owing to its compactness and distinct sci-fi appeal.
- In-game, P50 is shown firing her weapon as though it is fully automatic, despite the weapon being semi-automatic in real life.
- Her obsessive need to be different to others is likely in reference to Kel-Tec's reputation for making unusual firearms. It also makes her an ironic counterpart to P90, who is based on a highly unique gun but is characterized as a copycat who mimics others.
