Weapon Background

The K5 is a series of semi automatic handguns produced by Daewoo Precision Industries of South Korea. It was designed for the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge, although other caliber offerings exist on the commercial market. It has served as the standard sidearm used by commissioned officers of the South Korean military since 1989.

The K5 is a recoil-operated firearm, and uses a conventional Browning-type locking system. The K5 sports an unconventional trigger mechanism called "Fast Action" (also known as Triple Action, and more recently as Double Action +). This system allows a more accurate first shot due to the lighter weight of the trigger. It is also safer due to the longer trigger travel required to fire the pistol. It is fed with double-column magazines of 13 or 15 round capacity, and can produce accurate fire out to 50 meters with the 3 dot iron sights. The weapon itself is made of primarily aluminum alloy with a matte finish, with the grip panels being made of polymer.[1]

The K5 was marketed commercially in the United States between the early to late 1990s as the DP51, with a compact version and variants in .40S&W and .45ACP also being offered. It was most recently reintroduced to the US civilian market through a collaboration between Daewoo (now S&T Motiv) and Lionheart Industries of Redmond, WA in 2011.

Character Design

A T-Doll around 140-150cm tall, K5 has long blonde hair and blue eyes. She is one of just two T-Dolls (the other being AR RibeyrollesRibeyrollesRibeyrolles) to be barefoot in their default art.
