Bonneville Profile Quotes

Career[edit]

The MCR model, developed by Cyber Media, fills a niche in the market by providing affordable Doll drivers for various motorsport competitions, both professional and amateur. Given the complex and dangerous nature of motorsports, particularly motorcycling, the model's internal structure allows for extensive customization by third parties to meet the specific demands of different levels and types of racing. This flexibility has made the model popular among small to medium-sized racing teams and civilian motorcycle clubs.

Bonneville, a former professional motorcyclist, was once a frequent presence at the top of the podium. Her driving style, though wild and daring, was a spectacle to behold. She often performed high-risk maneuvers with the aim of breaking records, earning her a dedicated fan base. However, following a particular tournament, Bonneville was forced to retire and subsequently joined Project Neural Cloud.

Doll Profile 1[edit]

Globally recognized as a popular sport, racing is also known for its inherent dangers, which surpass those of other sports. Despite significant advancements in vehicle safety, the risk of severe injury remains high, particularly in motorcycle racing, where casualties occur nearly annually. The time and resources required to train a professional driver are substantial, leading to the exploration of "AI-powered robots as partial replacements for human drivers" as early as 2030.

Cyber Media's MCR model embodies the culmination of this concept. Technological advancements have enabled the MCR to execute complex maneuvers and techniques previously deemed impractical, quickly gaining favor with its target audience. Since 2054, numerous motorsports hosts have organized events specifically for Dolls, and the MCR has excelled in these competitions.

Another unspoken reason for the popularity of racing Dolls lies in their ability to push the limits of the sport without fear, resulting in more thrilling races and enthusiastic bettors.

Doll Profile 2[edit]

The name "Bonneville" is a tribute to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, a mecca for land speed records and a common destination for race cars and modified vehicles. It also reflects the former team owner's passion for cars and motorcycles, particularly a cherished vintage bike named "Bonneville".

As a professional Doll, Bonneville possessed inherent driving expertise upon joining the team, but still underwent the prescribed training regimen. While the training period was expedited, it nonetheless spanned nearly six months.

From the fundamentals of a 125cc A1 motorcycle to a stripped-down race car lacking amenities like ABS, human drivers must complete numerous drills of varying complexity. Bonneville diligently underwent this comprehensive training. Subsequently, technicians fine-tuned Bonneville's body based on the collected data, optimizing her performance. In a comparative test, a fully trained Bonneville outperformed other untrained MCR models by an entire weight class.

Doll Profile 3[edit]

Bonneville's on-track style is best described as aggressive and fiery. A media outlet once remarked: "When she's behind the wheel, she almost seems to embody a ghostly rider, flaming aura and all."

As racing Dolls became more prevalent, regulations began to loosen, allowing her to showcase her more passionate side. Instead of major international events like the N-WSBK burdened with numerous rules, she favored local club competitions with relaxed regulations, enabling her to unleash her full potential and defeat opponents in the most audacious manner. She even adorned her vehicle with armaments for "self-defense" though it was purely for aesthetic purposes, as they were non-functional on the track.

Within six months of becoming certified, Bonneville was already a prominent figure in local clubs, earning the reputation of both a champion and the infamous "Road Rage King." Her aggressive driving style resulted in at least 20 minor and 3 major reprimands within six months, along with a temporary ban from competing. Roughly six months later, her team arranged for her to participate in the N-WSBK championship, but a neural limiter was installed to curb her brash behavior in the big leagues.

This modification had an unintended consequence: Bonneville's initial performance in the N-WSBK was lackluster.

Doll Profile 4[edit]

With the neural limiter removed, Bonneville adapted her driving style, focusing on improving in-the-moment precision in large-scale races and reducing rule violations in preparation for the next N-WSBK season. Her efforts paid off, earning her first place in three stages and a third-place finish in the finals. Subsequently, Bonneville dominated the N-WSBK championship, winning four consecutive titles.

However, her success attracted controversy. A renowned veteran team, IA, filed a complaint accusing Bonneville of using illicit methods to gain an advantage. This sparked a heated dispute, escalating into a physical altercation. To ensure fair competition, the referee committee intervened, and imposed a three-month ban on Bonneville. A subsequent investigation revealed the accusations were unfounded, but the conflict between the two teams remained irreparable. In June of that year, Bonneville announced her departure from the team and withdrawal from the N-WSBK championship.

Returning to the local scene without a sponsor, Bonneville reverted to her former driving style. Now solely responsible for the costs of competing and vehicle maintenance, she ventured into the world of open-road motorcycle racing. This unregulated, high-risk, high-reward environment featured unpredictable competitors, including the occasional rogue patrol officer and aggressive motorcycle gangs.

Doll Profile 5[edit]

The dilapidated garages of the slums, coffee shops tucked away in alley corners, club rooms filled with the scent of machine oil, and worn-down public roads in the dead of night—reminiscing about those days invariably brings a bittersweet smile to Bonneville's face. In her words, it was a harsh, dangerous, and unglamorous existence but one that offered unparalleled freedom. While she lost certain things, she gained something she desired in return. "Just like the main characters of those old-ass gangster movies".

One day, Bonneville abruptly left her residence, selling her garage and all its contents except for her personal motorcycle. She vanished without a trace. Apart from a few devoted motorcycle fans who occasionally mentioned her name, it was as if she never existed, much like countless other Civilian Dolls.

After joining the Guardians, Bonneville retained her independent spirit. Leveraging the speed and agility of her motorcycle, she effortlessly navigates Magrasea instead of remaining at Arcadia's headquarters. Even in the rare event of encountering a Sanctifier, she can easily evade them.

Bonneville's preferred destination is undoubtedly Burbank—this perpetually illuminated city is sure to have a few ruffians roaming the streets at midnight. She relishes the opportunity to give those rowdy troublemakers a good thrashing.
