The OTs-14 “Groza” (“thunder”) bullpup configured, modular assault rifle system was developed during the early 1990s by V. Telesh and Ju. Lebedev at the TsKIB SOO (Central Design Bureau for Sporting and Hunting Arms). Like the predecessor project Tiss, Groza's design is also based on AKS-74U, an attempt to integrate all the best features from close quarter combat weapons into one singular unit. Groza units have a great amount of exchangeable parts with 74U.
As a modular unit, Groza was can cope with different many cartridge types such as the Soviet 7.62x39mm M43, 5.45x39mm M74, 5.56x45mm NATO and 9x39mm SP-6. The modular design allows Groza to be quickly refitted and adapt to any given mission types, or a hot swap of configuration on the field, filling roles from a short range carbine to a longer range DMR. MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs) at the time was only interested in the 9x39mm subsonic firing configuration known as Groza-4 with the on going conflicts in Chechnya, only the Groza-4 kits was produced at that time. Though kits for 7.62x39mm firing Groza-1 configuration was manufactured later on after finding procurement client(s). During the development stage an idea to fit Groza 12.7×108mm anti-material rounds firing was proposed, converting Groza into an anti-material sniper, but the idea was never mentioned again.
Groza works on the same internal operational principle as AKS-74U, but the gas-operated, rotating bolt mechanism is set in bullpup configuration instead, the compact bullpup design gave Groza an increased portability and balance feel, proposing that the rifle can be fired single handily without issues. Even the some of the features such as the selective firing modes on 74U was retained. Groza-4 is fed on the 20-round magazine of AS Val, able to be fired at a rate of 700 rounds per minute. While Groza-1 uses the AK-47/AKM 30-round magazine and able to achieve 750 rounds per minute rate of fire.
Like most modular assault rifles, Groza can be outfitted with many combat accessories on the provided rails, scope/optics such as the PSO can be mounted directly on the carrying handle. Standard issue Groza kit comes with specially designed accessories such as suppressors, night optics, fore grips and cleaning kits, on top of all that Groza also had a specially modified GP-25/30 under-barrel grenade launcher unit.
Much like AS Val, Groza is rarely seen within the Russian military, only issued to special operation personals like Spetsnaz units and combat engineers of the airborne troops. Groza saw minor action in the Chechnya counter-terrorism campaigns.
Character Info
Design
Groza appears to be a slim built T-doll with 160-165 cm of body height, long yellow hair with pink-ish hue grown well pass her knees, paired with bright golden eyes.
On the Official Girls Frontline Art Book, the artist ASK commented on the designing of Groza. "The name Groza sounded real cool so I drew a cool looking Russian lady. (觉得闪电这名字特别酷就画了英俊的毛子小姐姐)", "The hair style is low end twin pony! The tie is a sailor's neckerchief square knot! (发型是低双马尾! 胸前是金鱼草结)".
"Pantsu is the lower waist style (啊顺便,内裤,是低腰的)."
Being one of the most adaptive assault rifles in the world, this rifle comes with many spare parts, ASK commented on this in designing ideas on the art book: "The gun had many parts so I gave her a box. (枪的部件比较多就给配了个箱子)". Though this might have been inspired by the standard issue aluminum box the Groza kits comes with.
In her default art, she is holding the 7.62x39mm M74firing Groza-1 configuration, the damaged art however shows a slightly different size barrel in terms of width and length, similar to the 9x39mm SP-6 firing Groza-4. Groza unit can fire different calibre cartridge by changing components, one of which is the barrel, hot swaps can even on the battlefield, or perhaps this was just a simple artist mistake.
Personality
Groza possesses a cool and professional personality, shows no signs of weakness in battles, prideful and confident in her own abilities. But when approached during none-profession times, she can prove to be quite an interesting character with peculiar hobbies, evidence provided from quotations her hobbies might be music and culinary. Unfortunately she is not very good at keeping a regular sleep pattern.
Groza possibly have the highest damage output out of all T-doll in the game in nocturnal battles, combined with her innate high accuracy she is capable of shredding through drones, armored targets and bosses alike with the insane +200% damage increase ability. Able to provide accuracy to SMG units, which will benefit units such as SMG SR-3MPSR-3MPSR-3MP at night. Combining these two factors Groza is a prime candidate for night battle ARSMG team.
Her active ability provides less damage boost during diurnal combats however, though a 70% is still a very significant value increase, in short duration combat she can still push out a lot of damage.
Story Involvement
Groza have minor interaction with the main story line and major interaction with Operation Cube.

Cloud Atlas Upgrade Story: Mosin-Nagant
Groza made a minor appearance in Mosin-Nagant's Cloud Atlas upgrade back story.
Mosin-Nagant was not her usual self, many of her friends have clearly noticed her over cheerful behaviour is just an act to hide her stressed self. Groza was the first one to notice and spoke of this, she pulled Mosin away from the T-doll group and talked with her privately, she asked Mosin whether something has happened specifically to her that caused her abnormal behavior and does she wish to talk about it. Unwilling to reveal anything, Mosin pretended she does not know what Groza could be referring to, Groza gave up on her inquiry attempts immediately after.
OTs-14 "Groza". Designed based on AKS-74U, a new assault rifle designed with reference to attributes of other close-quarter combat weapons. But only when the grenade launcher is mounted should I be called "Groza". I've seen service in secret service and special forces alike, hope we get along together.
This is..... for me? This is hardly a surprise. But, All of the suffering you've endured so far, I've seen it all with my eyes. You are the Commander whom I've deemed worthy to entrust my beliefs to, let us stay side by side forever.
Groza units have a specially made alternative pistol grip designed, which could launch a 40mm grenade from the launcher and fire the gun with a single trigger pull.
