| backgroundinfo = The OTs-44 is the largest sniper rifle produced by TsKIB SOO. It is similar to the VKS, VSS Vintorez and VSK-94 in that it is also a silent sniper rifle. The OTs-44 is a bullpup anti-materiel rifle with an odd reloading method. Apparently, the barrel has to be offset forward for reloading. Reloading is done manually, which implies it is fed from an internal magazine. The rifle has an adjustable monopod at the rear, as well as an adjustable bipod up front. The giant suppressor can also be removed.

These designs effected the accuracy significantly, so the OTs-44 is not designed for long distance engagements, but instead it tries to offer greater devastation/penetration of covers at the effective range of 7.62mm rounds. It is also to be noted that suppressing the sound of a 12.7mm round shot is impossible without greatly effecting the bullet's travel path, the suppressor only serves to suppress the gunshot noise down to the same level as a SVD, in attempt to disguise the bullet calibration.
