Amidst Wings of Gray

Amidst Wings of Gray is a time limited event in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium. It introduced Daiyan as a playable character.

This was Exilium's first event in CN, but the third for other servers.

Overview

This event's farming tickets are Grayplume Vouchers, as usual the max capacity is 6 and on the other hand 3 vouchers added per day.

Environmental Survey

A board game inspired by Luffberry Chess. Players are given a number of dices and must travel on a looped game board to accumulate as much Survey Index points as possible before running out of dices. Each Doll begins the game with a different survey equipment, and each level also has a specific debuff, so players must adapt their strategy to score points. Completing a board also grants permanent intelligence bonuses, giving the game a roguelike aspect.

Survey Index points are earned from various ways:

• Wilderness tiles grant a flat amount of Survey Index points and supplies.
• Resource tiles will either trigger a random supply event or behave the same as a wilderness tile.
• Outposts can be built and upgraded when landing on outposts tiles, in exchange for supplies. Each new outpost built or upgraded grants more Survey Index points.
• Event tiles will either grant access to Broker's Stall, where supplies can be spent to acquire new equipment, grant new survey equipment or trigger a Survey Event.
• Crossing the starting point will grant a choice of Survey Strategies buffs and access to the Broker's Stall.
• Dispatch tiles grants a new equipment.
• Combat tiles will start a dice battle. More Survey Index points are scored if the player's dice is greater than the enemy's.
• When landing on any tile, there's a chance to trigger a surprise fortune and multiply the Survey Index points in possession.

Trivia

• The event was originally titled 异乡乐徽 in CN (found as “Exotic Cadence” and “Windborne Melody” in EN files), but it was rewritten and retitled “Amidst Wings of Gray”. “Amidst Wings of Gray” was added to the story archives in CN instead of “Exotic Cadence/Windborne Melody”, and ran as its own separate event in other servers. The new version lacks voice acting, probably due to production time constraints. The story boss of the original event was the Eber, but it is replaced by the Tumorhynchus and only appears in optional missions.
