The Mondragón rifle may refer to one of two rifle designs developed by Mexican artillery officer General Manuel Mondragón. These designs include the straight-pull bolt-action M1893 and M1894 rifles, and Mexico's first self-loading rifle, the M1908 - the first of the designs to see combat use.

The Mondragón M1908, also known as the 'Fusil Porfirio Diaz Sistema Mondragón Model 1908', is a gas-operated self-loading rifle originally designed by Manuel Mondragón, a general in the Mexican Army. Despite the Mexican government showing interest in the design, the rifle could not be produced domestically as Mexico at the time did not have the industrial capabilities to mass-produce the gun. Eventually, the Swiss firearms manufacturer SIG would acquire the rights and patents to the Mondragón rifle around 1908, and begin production in 1910.

The Mexican Army would order approximately 4000 Mondragón rifles. However, the order ended up being cancelled following the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution, resulting in only about 300 M1908 rifles making it over to Mexico. Following this, SIG attempted to market the Mondragón rifle internationally. They found little success until 1915, when Germany bought most of the remaining rifles from the Mexican contract. The German air force issued them to their aerial observers for use against enemy planes. Once military aircraft began to be outfitted with machine guns, however, this plan fell apart and the rifle was soon after pulled from combat use in 1917.
