Xinghuan briefly appeared with the label "Drunken Taikonaut" during the Oasis' New Years celebration, initially drinking with [[Kimie] before she passed out. She noticed the Professor's absence when she tried to rope them into being her next drinking partner. Suspecting they were running away from the alcohol, she took part in the impromptu search party. Xinghuan requested Luna to use fortune telling to help find the Professor. Luna was successful in divining their general location, but her runestone broke before being able to pinpoint the exact spot. Due to Persicaria intervening to keep the Professor quiet in a bid to spend more alone time with them, the search party failed in their mission, much to Xinghuan's annoyance.
