Career[edit]
NSP is a Doll with "no affiliation" rarely seen in the Oasis. As NSP was not capable of providing materials related to her creation, the responsible personnel were not able to track down who exactly manufactured her and what her purpose was. As determined by the combined inspection of the Oasis Security and Medical Departments, NSP is equipped with massive amounts of arms modules, and displays balanced combat capabilities along with truly exceptional neural stability. In repeated combat trials, NSP passed with flying colors, displaying reaction speeds and the ability to react to sudden changes in circumstances far beyond that of conventional Dolls, and has thus been evaluated to be a special model, developed for military use as an elite unit.
Aside from any affiliated company, the exact reason and time of NSP's upload to Magrasea is also unclear. What one can be certain of, however, is that NSP was not originally planned to be a part of Project Neural Cloud.
Doll Profile 1[edit]
To the entirety of the Oasis, Clukay is without a doubt a mysterious entity. During the registration process, a meeting was convened, and the Professor ended up filing her under the name of Svarog Heavy Industries. This decision appears to have been made due to the strong associations between the purpose of her design and the military-industrial complex, but what links exist between Clukay and Svarog Heavy Industries remain unknown.
After joining the Oasis, Clukay's performance in combat received universal appraisal from the Dolls there. Whether it be head-to-head engagements or special operations, Clukay accomplished her objectives excellently, and is without a doubt a multi-faceted combatant. Not only has Simo of the Security Department reached out to her, even Python admitted that she was a "formidable opponent."
This walking riddle of a Doll occasionally shows a cold and utilitarian side. Based on conjecture, her previous working environment may have included assignments such as scouting, assault, eradication of armed threats and similar operations. Whatever her occupation, it was deeply embroiled within the special information networks of criminal groups, black market conglomerates, spy safehouses, and such. Rumors say that Clukay's model never had operational limits, thus could kill humans in their operations—under the assumption that such measures were necessary, of course.
These clues in regard to Clukay's professional career all pointed directly towards the battlefield, and what position she occupied exactly sparked a wave of speculation in the Oasis. Clukay herself has only made clear her current line of work–"A mercenary."
Doll Profile 2[edit]
No matter where exactly Clukay came from, her existence caused an inevitable nervousness in those of a more gentle disposition for a while. Clukay was not only inexorable and striking in combat, she also upheld a strong sense of responsibility in the completion of all other tasks, even if said task was only a simple matter.
Back when Clukay was new to the Oasis, many Dolls were subconsciously put on edge by her, but things soon returned to normal soon enough. To be swept up in that intense presence was truly exhausting, even if she herself never intended to exude that effect. This situation continued until the medic, Helix, fell over in front of her eyes. Clukay was a bit befuddled at the time, but quickly helped her up. Before she took even a few more steps, the girl tumbled over yet again.
"...Are you having a malfunction?" Clukay asked with good intentions, but the already distraught girl only seemed to become more despondent. After an extended and strenuous conversation, Clukay came to terms with it all—not every Doll here possesses rounded abilities in every field, or outstanding combat abilities like she does. Many unique cases of lacking ability in certain fields also exist and are accepted all the same.
As she met more and more Dolls who required help in their own ways, Clukay finally came to accept the previously inconceivable truth. As for the inhabitants of the Oasis, "Which planet of omnipotent Dolls does Clukay come from" became a hot topic of discussion.
Doll Profile 3[edit]
After a lengthy period in each other's company, everyone began to see the other side of her beneath her cold and stoic exterior. As opposed to feeling any sense of belonging to the Oasis, her stance on the situation could be better described as a unique experience, but she still looked forward to returning to the world. Even if companionship would only be temporary, Clukay did not grow disconnected from the rest of the group: straightforward criticisms, cutting mockeries, and an almost ungraspable sliver of care. She was like to that to everyone.
Even if sometimes her words are overly acute, she has never hesitated to help and guide other Dolls. She possesses an exceptionally wide and rich knowledge base, almost to the point of appearing omniscient. Perhaps because of her very occupation as a "mercenary\ she knows a variety of unscrupulous matters like the back of her hand, and one cannot help but guess at what fields of work she's ventured in the past.
As a police unit, Evelyn denied the speculation of "intelligence personnel" reasoning that some of the techniques Clukay uses overlaps with some of the special military police training she once received. She made some bold guesses, perhaps involving real intel, but Clukay never gave a clear answer. As for what exactly came to pass, only those two Dolls, between their brief conversations, will know.
After becoming more familiar with the bunch, Clukay started to be a frequent invitee of leisure activities around the Oasis. What is strangest to everyone, though, is Clukay's aversion to engaging in activities related to the drinking or sampling of alcohol, despite her appearing to be quite studied on the subject. It's as if alcohol was, to her, something that could only end badly if she made contact with it.
Doll Profile 4[edit]
As understanding grows, so does the shroud of mystery thicken. If her behaviors in daily life would indicate that she was more in touch with the "present" her actions in operations outside of the Oasis shimmered with the shadows of the "past".
In an occasional cooperative outing, Clukay deftly placed a certain medic of small stature in a safe position. "I've been in charge of a few little guys like you before that needed some extra care... Though if we're talking about combat prowess, she was never one to fall behind anyone else." She watched as the girl in front of her took a deep blow, and frantically assured her of everyone's confidence in her medical capabilities, barely preventing the crestfallen medic from crying.
Clukay ran into no lack of obstacles on that assignment, with signals cut off, and reinforcements absent. Clukay displayed extreme resilience in the face of the situation, expertly distributing what operands were left and holding out until the very end with the help of medical assistance... as if she was once in such dire straits for eons on end. She began to intermittently think of the past, the silhouette of a lone figure arising between pieces and fragments of whispers.
The mission ended as the Professor arrived to take command, and the temporary squad was finally relieved by reinforcements. As victory dawned, Clukay displayed a series of extremely complex emotional impulses at the Professor's outreached hand.
"...To come here to the cloud for you is perhaps among one of the best the decisions I've made."
Doll Profile 5[edit]
Clukay has never tried to hide her past acquaintance with the Professor, and to her the Oasis is simply where an inevitable reunion takes place. The past relationship between the two is veiled in the same mystery, and some Dolls even gossip that Clukay and the Professor have "special intimate names" between the two of them. No one has seriously questioned either of the two on this matter but differing speculations abound.
As for her true identity and personal history before being uploaded to the cloud, Clukay has remained silent. Everyone initially assumed that she held a strong disposition towards secrecy, but it was later discovered that this was perhaps not the whole picture. In order to maintain personal data security—mostly to prevent the possible leakage of classified intelligence, Clukay asked certain technical personnel to seal away a part of her own memories, most of them related to the Professor.
It is also because of this special memory sectioning that Clukay's words and actions appear disjointed at times. Even if she displays an extent of familiarity and intimacy with the Professor, she feels disoriented in regards to her relationship with them, feeling an unparalleled trust in the Professor from within, as well as some other emotions sequestered deeper down.
Perhaps these mysteries will be revealed when we return to reality from the cloud.
