Weapon Background

The SCR (Sport Configurable Rifle) is a 5.56x45mm semi-automatic rifle intended for civilian use - as a hunting, practice or home defense weapon. It is based on the extremely popular AR-15 platform, but is configured with a more traditional rifle stock. It also conforms to the legal limitations, originally imposed by the now-defunct Assault Weapons Ban 1994-2004, now continued by certain legislations in some states within the USA. It was originally developed in 2003 by Geoffrey Herring, initially known as the Herring Modular Sporting Rifle. The project was then shelved for more than a decade, finally going into production as the ARES Defense MCR in 2014, the company later rebranding to FightLite Industries in 2016.

The SCR is gas-operated, using a direct gas impingement system with rotary bolt locking. The lower receiver of the rifle is designed to accept any AR-15 upper receiver and all AR-15 type magazines, up to 30 rounds. The trigger unit is different from a standard AR-15, as it features a cross-bolt manual safety selector, located at the rear of the trigger guard. It has a weight of 2.6kg (5.7lbs) and an overall length of 940mm (37") or 990mm (39") depending on barrel length of 413mm (16.25") or 457mm (18").

Standard furniture includes a polymer stock, as well as an AR-style short, polymer handguard or a longer, free-floating M-LOK handguard, on top of the picatinny-railed upper receiver which can accept any manner of optic. SCR rifles are available as complete rifles or carbines, as well as lower conversion kits that can be attached to a standard AR-15 upper receiver. (Conversion kits include new lower receivers, stocks and return springs, as well as a new proprietary bolt group.)[1][2]

Character Background

SCR was once a worker Doll in a Yellow Zone orchard and developed a warm and caring personality after interacting with the local fruit-growers. She often uploaded videos of her daily life and how she made fruit desserts while wearing a mask to avoid being recognized, eventually becoming an online celebrity... As well as suffering from all the baggage that went with it. In the end she chose to leave the orchard and join Griffin as a T-Doll. She's learned her lesson from last time -- she hasn't revealed her identity even though she still updates her account. Or at least, she THINKS she hasn't...
