| The MP 40 submachine gun is open-bolt, blowback-operated automatic arms. The only mode of fire was fully automatic, but the relatively low rate of fire enabled single shots with controlled trigger pulls. The MP 38 receiver was made of machined steel, but this was a time-consuming and expensive process. To save time and materials, and thus increase production, construction of the MP 40 receiver was simplified by using stamped steel and electro-spot welding as much as possible. The MP 38 also features longitudinal grooving on the receiver and bolt, as well as a circular opening on the magazine housing. These features were eliminated on the MP 40.<ref name= "wiki"></ref> | | The MP40 submachine gun is open-bolt, blowback-operated automatic arms. Much of her attire is comparable to some of the other German WWII-era T-Dolls, such as {{doll name|MG42|MG|3}}, {{doll name|FG42|MG|2}}, and {{doll name|C96|HG|3}}. The uniform has had its Nazi symbolism removed, replaced with more contemporary German regalia such as the Iron Cross (from WWI). She also carries a saber, but does not actually employ it. Her design gives her a distinctive battlefield presence; whereas many T-Dolls favor more civilian-oriented attire, MP40 cheerfully wears her oldschool gear, largely ''because'' of the vibe it gives off. |

| | MP40 is professional, first and foremost. She's disciplined and has a bit of a reputation of being a hardass, rarely backing down in the face of Sangvis Ferri aggression. Her adherence to the chain of command is impressive, helping to arrange the evacuation during the Sangvis attack on the Griffon meeting site and chastizing FNC for eating during the evacuation. She is fiercely loyal to the commander, and will often try to pull rank on the younger T-Dolls to get them to behave. As a secretary she can be found reprimanding the other T-Dolls for misbehavior, though she seems to also have a bit of a self-confidence issue and tends to be fidgety around the Commander. |

| | MP40 is a fantastic example of rarity not dictating utility when it comes to low-rarity T-Dolls. While she's outstandingly common in the early game, MP40 is blessed with a fantastic growth rate and, late game, is pound-for-pound a match for many high-ranked SMG T-Dolls. Her offensive stats are some of the highest in the game and she is more than satisfactory in other areas. She is also blessed with a fantastic grid bonus and an incredibly useful ability in Incendiary Grenade, all of which conspires to make MP40 viable all game long. |
| | |
| | However, it's not all good news. MP40 has poor evasion for an SMG - lagging almost 10 points behind other mid-range SMGs. What this means is that, in many cases, MP40 trades a bit of her ability to tank enemy fire for the ability to do much more damage in combat. This necessitates equipping her with higher-level Exoskeletons, pairing her with Evasion-boosting allies, or more commonly, ''both'' to keep her in the fight against more accurate foes. |

Trivia
- The experimental version of MP40 called MP40/I had 2 magazine housings, allowing operators to switch to another magazine without inserting a fresh magazine by pressing the latch at the front of magazine housing. The MP40/I was cancelled before entering a service or simply further test. The weight of MP40 became 12 pound heavier over the normal one, and the vulnerability of jamming was the reason to cancel the dual-mag production.[2]
- Her name was MP38 in official art before changed as MP40 a year ago.[3]
