Suggestion: T-Doll Names[edit]

e.g. T-Doll_Production, instead of having HG/SMG/etc icons beside each name, we can use

Personally, I think it may be a bit confusing to not to stick to a standard for colors(cyan for time, yellow for links), unless we're planning on change the color of links themselves. Pianoforte (talk) 23:28, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
My primary concerns about this idea revolve around legibility as well. Right now, the wiki has yellow links by default, so it's immediately obvious that yellow text is a link. It's not entirely clear that the white text here actually links to anything without hovering over it first - the styling is a bit different than for normal text, but not by that much. I also think that this style of link should be implemented as a template that takes rarity as a parameter, as we don't want people to have to remember the hex codes for each color. ReverseIdeology (talk) 23:44, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
Not everyone might understand the gun's color codes unless we specify it down somewhere. Luciana (talk) 23:45, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
Maybe the links to the guns can have another indicator of their uniqueness. Maybe a dotted underline for example? Maybe with some CSS editing, we can probably turn the hex colors into the rarity colors like: not including the brackets "Simonov|{{doll_name|#fff|Simonov" could be "Simonov|{{doll_name|#2star|Simonov". You want me to play the devil? The colours are for the rarity, what exactly do they have anything to do with gun types icons in the first place? --Morgan Paradise (talk) 23:56, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
If you read what Dragonjet said, he wants to use the color codes to specify gun types, not rarity. Luciana (talk) 00:15, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
Thanks for the clarification. Well, in this case, I want to here about the advantages of this way over the current one. --Morgan Paradise (talk) 00:27, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
For sample comparison, I've now added a table that utilizes the template. T-Doll production page can look like that Dragonjet (talk) 01:22, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
I think it looks pretty nice, but I'm still somewhat concerned about 5 star rarity guns(because I'm very cautious about people misunderstanding). I'm not against it though, I suppose we can try it out and see what people think? I've already made a template for the cells in T-Doll Production Table, perhaps we can try modify just that and see how people react to it. p.s. I'm outside atm and can't connect to discord atm. Pianoforte (talk) 01:38, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
p.p.s. I don't think it's a good idea to have a cell for every T-Doll, since the width isn't very big when the whole list is split into 3 columns, and with the varying number of guns per craft time, using a cell for each may be very inefficient. Pianoforte (talk) 01:42, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
for long names we can reduce the font size, or make it two-liner. added example cells for more examples of long names and the color difference of legendary vs regular link. Dragonjet (talk) 02:02, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
modified the templates, how about those kind of styling? The idea is to use it mostly in lists or tables, but I also added a sample paragraph to see it in the context of them being inline together with plain text. Dragonjet (talk) 23:58, 20 October 2016 (EDT)
