==Immunity and cure==
There are two types of immunity to ELID, designated “semi-immunosome” and “pan-immunosome”.<ref>{{cite|gfl|ms|Ariadne’s Clew III}}</ref> Semi-immunosome humans can be in close contact with Collapse radiations or ELID infected with no adverse effects. Semi-immunosome immunity can be innate or acquired. The search for an effective, cheaply produced and easily distributed ELID cure sunk many pharmaceutical companies who tried to synthesize it.
