This is a list of levels in Chapter 5 of Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery.

This chapter will be unlocked after reaching the true end of Chapter 4 and finding all 38 Secret Documents in all four chapters.

Act 1: The Grateful Dead[edit]

This mission starts with a warning about a long cutscene.

In Antarctica, Colonel Kämpfe meets with Jefuty as she's being transported in a straight jacket to a Relic site experiment. In exchange for her safety, she has been used more and more frequently to interface with Relics and activate Nirvana to provide knowledge to the AU. Jefuty is dissatisfied with the military-focused research of the Antarctic, when all she cares about is completing the anti-Shrike research of Philip and Helena. Moreover, because Shrikes can also activate Relics, the AU's technological superiority will eventually be lost, on top of the Shrike's abilities as weapons and infiltrators.

Kämpfe agrees that orders from his higher-ups are foolish, but needs Jefuty to cooperate with them until they can complete the secret experiment that will alter her genes into the perfect anti-Shrike weapon. This will take away her ability to activate Relics, which Jefuty considers an advantage as Relics activation is becoming dangerous: based on the information in Nirvana, Jefuty predicted that mankind will be nearly destroyed by the full activation of the Relics. The destruction of Relics is not a viable path, as the amount of Collapse particles generated by their destruction would also end mankind. Regardless, the AU is planning to destroy the Relics, making Antarctica's Hollow City the only safe haven as long as Shrikes can be kept out of it. Kämpfe can however not ensure that Jefuty will be freed once she is no longer useful to the AU.

As the elevator reaches the relic site, Kämpfe hands Jefuty to Mendo, who is serving as Captain of the team entrusted with Jefuty's safety as the "key" to conduct a "Relic contact ceremony". Mendo tells Jefuty that he will have something interesting to show her later. When she is exposed to the Relic, a giant four-dimensional hypercube containing infinite space and time, Jefuty becomes able to see the past and future of many world-possibilities for a less than a minute, except her own information as she would become a mere projection in the mind of another possible self.

After entering the Relic and making contact with "Superstring Zero", Jefuty meets the Shadow at the end of the world. Jefuty is surprised that the Shadow could enter when she "closed every door", but the Shadow says she came in before Jefuty "destroyed everything", since she's Jefuty's shadow and they share the same existence. Jefuty doubts that there would be a possibility where she lets a Shrike's consciousness enter "the garden", and the Shadow informs her that a new, near-zero possibility was created. Jefuty could prevent incidents by sharing her memories with her alternate versions, but she refuses to so they aren't crushed by despair.

Though another Jefuty has let the Shadow in, this Jefuty refuses any sort of working agreement with her. The Shadow points out that with Nirvana under her control, she could rewrite history, but instead continues struggling at the same juncture in time to avert the end of the world. The Shadow announces she brought something to jog Jefuty's memory: she gives her a music box and explains that she wants to become one of Jefuty's possibilities. This would grant her access to Jefuty's memories, and give Jefuty a small opening to avert the end of the world, which the Shadow also wants to avert since she would become as lonely as Jefuty. The Shadow claims that their situation makes them sisters, and claims her name is Lusica. Jefuty rejects Lusica's claim to sisterhood, but agrees to listen to her plan.

Later, Jefuty suddenly wakes up at a desk in her lab, with the music box in her hand and no memory about what transpired inside Nirvana. Since she couldn't see a future after her genetic blood alteration in Nirvana, she concludes she's the first Jefuty to attempt it, but also worries that her amnesia is because she accessed information about alternate versions of herself. She recognizes the box as the gift Mendo once gave her, which he had made when he was a child, but it breaks after she tries to use it. When she hears noises in the ventilation ducts, Jefuty engages a loop on the surveillance cameras before Mendo comes down from the ducts to secretly let Jefuty sample his blood to make comparison with her own and formulate the anti-Shrike serum. Since Helena's disappearance, only Mendo's blood can be used for this research.

Mendo brought a self-baked cookie to jefuty, as well as the surprise he mentioned before she entered the Relic: the few photos of Philip and Helena he could find, including one from when they first met in Berlin in 2079 as part of a research team. Jefuty remarks that Helena looks like she never ages. Mendo remembers the rumors that Philip only became general director due to his connection with the scientific genius of Helena, but Jefuty refutes it and relates that Helena was originally a simple technical executive of the URNC R&D team, and only Philip's eloquence got her recruited in the Antarctica research team where she had her breakthrough and became one of the leaders of the GAVIRUL Project.

Jefuty continues to defend Philip's charisma and dedication, relating how he crawled into a crumbling maintenance duct to reconnect a transmission line and save the data from the main database of the Caucasus research institute when it was bombarded by the URNC. Jefuty says Mendo inherited Philip's unexpected bravery, while she herself might have inherited Helena's willingness to pay the price to do what was necessary. Helena had braved the consequences of using Relic cells to create Jefuty, one of which was her refusal to consider herself Jefuty's mother to create the emotional distance needed for the experiments. Jefuty repaid her imperfect love by cooperating with the experiments and wishes she could have been real family with the professors like Mendo, but Mendo points out that he rarely saw his parents and that their love was also flawed in this way.

Jefuty remembers how precious the pendant containing his family phoyo was to Mendo, and refuses to take the album, as she feels like she was the reason Philip and Helena couldn't take care of Mendo, and still believes there's a chance for her an Mendo to meet the professors again. Mendo agrees are reveals that he's been planning how to break out of Antarctica with Jefuty. Guessing that Jefuty would want to leave after formulating the anti-Shrike serum, but also wouldn't want anyone to take the blame, Mendo is preparing to put the blame on himself only before leaving with Jefuty to search for his parents and escape both the AU and the URNC. Jefuty is reluctant to have Mendo abandon his status in the AU for her sake, but Mendo insists that she should let him take risks for her sake for once. Mendo take the broken music box for repairs before leaving the way he came.

Lusica later meets Jefuty in the garden of the Virtual Consciousness Image, which Lusica calls the place where "the goddesses' memories converge", so they can discuss the option Lusica mentioned in Nirvana. Lusica discovered after entering the garden that Jefuty is staying in this doomed timeline not because she cannot change it, but because she wants to ensure every Relic is destroyed, including the Antarctic Relic of Hollow City. This would ensure that Mendo have a chance to survive, and make Jefuty a traitor to the ancient specie she and Lusica are now the descendants of, who would benefit from letting the humans activate the Relics. Lusica calls it the love of a goddess, the obsession to "save the man who sold the world to survive". Lusica wants to partake in this obsession, claiming that this way she can become the only person who understands Jefuty's decision even if Mendo rejects her, and exposes her plan.

Jefuty wakes up without memories of the encounter with Lusica again when her medical officer, Doctor Eleanor, comes to her home for Jefuty's medical appointment. Eleanor has brought with her the results of Jefuty's secret analysis of her blood samples, which indicate that the final anti-Shrike formula has been found, and an invitation to the AU's National Day Reception party from Mendo, who has been selected as one of the outstanding soldiers to be honored during the ceremony. Eleanor's older sister, Atena, who still thinks highly of Jefuty after Operation Bakery, is also on the list. Jefuty confirms the rumor that she held the pilots at gunpoint to force the evacuation aircraft to rescue the members of Fox and Razor at the end of the operation five years ago. Eleanor also delivers the party dress she selected for the hopelessly minimalistic Jefuty, to prevent her from showing up underdressed at the ceremony. While she's getting dolled up, Jefuty accidentally confirms the rumor that she will be leaving Antarctica with Mendo, and a teary Eleanor scolds her for not being honest with her friends, and Jefuty apologizes for her inability to emotionally mature enough before she had to leave.

A month later, Jefuty joins Mendo at the Martin residence, who is furnished in a European style seldom seen in the AU. Jefuty notices Philip's guitar, and she borrows Helena's violin to play an amateur rendition of Lyrisme, Philip and Helena's favorite duet song. Jefuty has left the instructions to produce the anti-Shrike solution in the lab, and Mendo plans to reach the surface when the ceremony is in full swing, where they will use a prepared vehicle and supplies to reach the cruise ship out of Antarctica. Jefuty correctly guesses that Kämpfe is secretly supporting their escape. Despite the Martin residence being tied to Mendo's memories of loneliness, it was the only place he wanted to visit before leaving to destroy the gravestone he had erected for his parents at a time where he wasn't convinced they could still be alive. Jefuty asks Mendo if he would have preferred for his parents to not take part in the Gavirul Project and live a normal life, and Mendo replies that he would still choose a difficult life to be able to meet Jefuty.

In the garden of the Virtual Consciousness Image, Jefuty admits to Lusica that her plan is the only way forward despite the consequences for herself, since the lives of many people will be spared and the world and her other selves will have a chance to choose for themselves. Lusica remarks that Mendo betrayed the world for Jefuty's sake and Jefuty destroyed the the world for Mendo's sake, and asks Jefuty about what drives her to fight against the Shrikes regardless of consequences, when only others will benefit from it. Jefuty claims she just seeks her own happiness but Lusica retorts it is a lie since she's never smiled as she reached her goals, but only when she was with Mendo, whom she's about to give up on. Lusica insists since she'll be the only one who will be able to carry on Jefuty's will once their plan begins, and Jefuty admits that she wants to create choices for herself that will not leads to death and destruction like all of her choices have been up until now, creating a Jefuty who can choose the life she truly desires without the influence of others. Lusica says she has been working towards the same objective for herself and accepts Jefuty's determination.

Jefuty awakens shortly before the car taking her and Mendo to the banquet hall arrives at their destination. To wait out the time when they can escape, Mendo takes Jefuty to the top of the building, the highest point in Hollow City built in the former base of the Antarctica Relic Research Team, directly above the Relic Gate. The place also contains an abandoned and unguarded secret passage to the surface, the original way used by the research team to break into the underground cavern containing the relic. Jefuty notices that security guard are getting wary of them and they try to discreetly lose their pursuers in the hotel's corridors, but are eventually led into a private room with Carl, Jevon, Atena and Eleanor, who engineered this final test of Mendo's abilities along with Kämpfe. Atena privately asks Jefuty to make sure Mendo does not return to the gloomy attitude he had as a child. Eleanor has Mendo take a picture of her with Jefuty and Atena, then Eleanor takes a picture of all the Operation Bakery survivors.

A few minutes before the awards ceremony begins, Jefuty and Mendo leave to the surface elevator. When the doors of the elevator open, Jefuty has a vision of Lusica exiting it, bidding Jefuty to enjoy her last moments of happiness, and an extraneous memory of Mendo dying in the Relic enters her mind. Jefuty recognizes the hallucination as a high-dimensional projection, which is not supposed to happen when the Relic is inactive, and she hurries Mendo into the elevator and have him promise to never return to Antarctica. Mendo gives Jefuty the repaired music box, and tells Jefuty that they will be heading for an isolated colonial manor he bought as a safe house while on assignment in South America. Jefuty says she wants to make a choice that will create instead of destroy, and plans to plant tulips, Helena's favorite flower, in the mansion's garden.

When the elevator reaches the surface, Jefuty is about to kiss Mendo under an aurora borealis when an explosion occurs underground. Mendo shoves Jefuty out of the elevator with their escape car's keys, saying he will return once he's checked the situation of his homeland. Jefuty gears up with the weapons in the car and starts rappelling down the elevator shaft after Mendo. Lusica's voice reaches her as she descends, mocking that she could never escape her fate. Back in the hotel, Jefuty finds that it has been overrun with Shrike metabolites, and an ominous red light shines from the activated Relic. She runs into Atena, who explains that militants posing as security guards attacked the ceremony. Jefuty explains that they are Shrike infiltrators and tells Atena how to dispose of their bodies before running after Mendo who went after Carl and Jevon to investigate the attack on the Relic. In the manor garden, Lusica excitedly wonders if this version of Jefuty can bring them their different future. The Jefuty and Lusica in the garden are starting to fade away as the latest Jefuty is changing their fate.

In the relic, Jefuty takes a radio off a dead TASA soldier and hears a report from Mendo, who is attempting to shut down the relic. When Jefuty arrives, Mendo, weakened after using his own blood to fend off the Shrike, thinks she is the Shrike double that previously attacked him, and Jefuty proves her identity by destroying the Shrike corpses. Jefuty attempts to shut down the Relic, but her powers have already disappeared, so Mendo decides to follow Kämpfe's order to activate the Relic Gate's self-destruction as the last chance to save mankind. He orders Jefuty to follow the general evacuation outside while he activates the self-destruct. Lusica appears and runs Mendo through with an arm-blade, and reveals herself as the special Shrike made by William to completely replicate Jefuty, including her ability to activate Relics. While Lusica followed "Father"'s order to activate the Relic and is still monitored by the "Parental Subject", she considers William's goal beneath her after accessing Nirvana, and is only interested in finding the Jefuty who will be able to "change" and offers a contest to see who between herself and Jefuty have the greatest power as a "key". Jefuty allows Lusica to cut her arm, using the blood from the wound to weaken her before trying to plant a knife soaked in her blood through Lusica's eye to destroy her brain, but the blade fails to penetrate deep enough and Lusica runs Jefuty through with sharp tentacles. Mendo then plants his own blood-soaked knife into Lusica's skull, destroying her.

Lusica's voice resonates in Jefuty's mind, admitting that she's not as powerful as her when Mendo is with her, and she pulls Jefuty's consciousness into her virtual cognition image. Lusica shows this "Jefuty who can change fate" that even if she had successfully escaped Antarctica, another Shrike would eventually have activated the Relic, plunging the world into chaos and ending her peaceful life. In the years after, Mendo would have continuously opposed Jefuty's goal to destroy the other Relics, estranging her from their daughter Cloud. Lusica offers to enter Jefuty's mind so she can recover her ability to use Relics and confirm her future for herself in Nirvana. Faced with this terrible future, Jefuty decides to hear Lusica out. Even if Jefuty was to disappear, William would create Lusica with Shrikes to create his own key, but Lusica wants to spite William for never considering her his daughter, instead only seeing her as a copy of Jefuty. She asks to take Jefuty's place in order to go through her genetic change early and return to William, where she will use his profound attachment to her to prevent him from activated Relics.

Lusica and Jefuty will each be transferred into the other's past body. While Lusica will remain dormant in past Jefuty, Jefuty will take over the mind of past Lusica, in order for her to guide the past Jefuty into completing the anti-Shrike serum early and returning to William at the end of Operation Bakery. Using the connection of past Lusica's body to Nirvana, Jefuty will be able to channel the memories of past Jefuty versions that diverged from their intended purpose back to a past point in time and iteratively guide her to the intended ending. Their goal reached, Lusica will finally claim Jefuty's body. Jefuty accepts this sacrifice to ensure that Mendo and her friends can live, even in a world where they never met, but only if she can say goodbye to Mendo. The pact concluded, the dying Jefuty and Mendo embrace each other before Mendo activates the Relic self-destruct protocol.

Back at the end of Operation Bakery, Lige (future Jefuty in Lusica's body) retells these events to Jefuty. She had initially forgot these memories from the future when entering "Lige", but recovered them from Nirvana when their bloods mixed during their anti-Shrike serum experiment. Lige faces Jefuty with the choice of returning to William to implement the plan, or betting on a change of fate and enjoy the years up to William's activation of the relics. The present Jefuty agrees, and while Lusica's personality is slowly reclaiming her body, Lige pledges to help Jefuty until the body's original owner regains control. Jefuty shoots herself in the head, jumping back to a version of the trip between the URNC base and the evacuation where Beria followed the AU force. Jefuty warns that the original evacuation point has been compromised, and Beria recommends the town of Rane as an alternative, but Jefuty also warns that it is too close to the URNC base and they won't be able to stand against Sugar's true power as a direct mimic of the Progenitor's cells rather than a β Shrike, even with the Battle Fortress.

Carl proposes to confuse the enemy by splitting into three teams, buying enough time for the transport to evacuate Jefuty and Lige before dispersing, but the presence of Shrikes carries a great risk. Lige explains that it is paramount that all leaders of the operation survive and asks for Mendo's opinion about the evacuation point, and he selects an abandoned airfield with defense weapons in the mountains near Mineral Water City near the border. The premises are used as a temporary base for refugees by the Global Rescue Foundation, who can be evacuated by the AU command, while the T-Dolls in charge can join the battle. Beria warns that they will be besieged by the URNC's army on top of the Werewolves and wonders about the values of Jefuty and Lige, and Jefuty says that they have a duty to save mankind from itself, a goal that Beria can relate to.

For a chance to kill Sugar and deal a blow to the Shrike consciousness, Beria completely betrays the URNC and pledges his troops to ambush and slow down the other URNC forces so the AU forces can reach the evacuation area first. Carl is reluctant to lose a good mole in battle, but offers Beria's troops TASA armors and Collapse shuttles equipped with self-destruct timers. Beria meets Kirill near Lake Wanaka and they set up an ambush against Sugar while Oleg has been led away and will be locked in a fight against the Battle Fortress. Kirill insists that Beria should not take part in the battle, but Beria has no intention to survive his comrades should they fall against their enemy and knows he would soon outrun his usefulness should he join the AU. Beria's troops manage to take Sugar down, but when they try to kill her for good with blood bullets, she changes into Sugar Σ, kills Kirill and traps Beria in a Blood Cocoon to be slowly dissolved.

Meanwhile, the AU forces arrive at Mineral Water City, which has been abandoned for a long time and is only used as a convenient transit station due to its purification tower. They are welcomed by Betty, who hands them control over the city's defenses. Using Mendo and Jefuty's blood, they craft blood traps capable of incapacitating Shrikes for several minutes to fight against Sugar, and Lige asks Mendo not to hate her or Jefuty regardless of the choices they make in the future.

Map

A surprising map where you take control of the URNC troops. Only Beria and Kirill can be directly controlled and use their own item reserve, but you can give orders to the rest of the troops with skills and Commandos on this map have an AoE skill. The enemy forces will be cut in two at the start of the map, use the ones next to Beria and Kirill as SP fodder. Several waves of enemy reinforcements will enter the map throughout the battle, and Sugar will leave at turn 9 and return with Oleg a turn later. Use the mines planted on cliffs to provoke insta-kill land slides.

Beria is a support-oriented character who passively boosts the crit rate and crit damage of allies within 5 tiles by 40%. His skills include a bombardment tied to his Max HP stat, a 40% damage boost AoE, a taunt inflicted on enemy units, and a no-cooldown skill to direct the movement of any ally on the map. His ultimate skill will destroy all of Sugar's holograms and reduce the range of all enemies.

Kirill is equipped with a powerful rocket launcher as a base weapon and passively boosts the attack and accuracy of allies within 5 tiles. His skills can invoke squads of Commandos, Scouts, Machine Gunners or Snipers at certain positions on the map up to 4 times each, and his one-time ultimate skill will invoke a full team of 5 elites including a special Elite Sniper named Yakov capable of granting counterattack to allies in an AoE.

Because you will be especially reliant on skills, the Nightmare enemies that can prevent the use of skills can easily kill a run of this level.

Act 2: Suburbs Defense[edit]

Weapon accessory FP Special Scope is obtained at the start of this level.

Story

Using Mineral Water City's defenses and a mech armor provided by Beria, the AU forces hold the gates of the city against the URNC army. When Sugar Σ arrives, she implants Shrike cells into Oleg, but he resists the invasion and is killed without the cells having significant effects. The AU forces lead Sugar into a trap, and cause enough damage so her body crumbles into Shrike cells, shrieking that she will return to kill Jefuty. In the Virtual Image Consciousness, Lusica rejoices that they have reached the "day of change" and promises that she will preserve Lige's consciousness and memories. Jefuty tempers her joy, warning that they must first survive the last battle.

In Mineral Water City, the transport aircraft White Crane I is inbound to the Black Sea, and the AU force departs to join the TASA unit at the airport. They let the T-Dolls go so they can escape the approaching URNC forces. At the airport, they find that the transport is delayed by enemy aircrafts and the main URNC force draws near. Lusica, now in control of Lige's body, warns that Sugar is approaching again and Shrike organisms emerge from the ground. While the URNC encirclement tightens, an immense humanoid figure with skeletal wings, a reflection of the Progenitor, takes form to take revenge on Jefuty.

Map

A defense map until you can kill the first two bosses. Mendo's ultimate skill is especially useful on this map full of turrets. You will regularly receive resources by airdrops, but beware of overreaching: after the mecha is defeated, Oleg will appear with even more HPs. The boss will start moving on turn 2, and continuous reinforcements threatening your defense target will begin to arrive on turn 3 (use the tunnels to rapidly move your units around and defend).

Sugar Σ will arrive on turn 4 (but remain immobile until Oleg is dead) and your artillery guns will come online at the same time, inflicting punishing area damage for 5 AP. On turns 5, Sugar will summon five of those dreadful Blood Palms. After Oleg is dead, your artillery will be turned against you (they can be destroyed at the costs of several blood bullets), Sugar will become mobile and she will summon more Blood Palms two times. Strangely, T-Dolls are vulnerable to the blood mist debuffs, but they won't return as Shrike units. When Sugar is hit with one of the three blood traps on the map, she no longer generates blood mist when losing her shields, takes 3 times more damage and becomes killable for one turn, ideally you would have dented her 62,500 HP bar before that. She will also gain two more shields after her life drops under 20%.

Our old friend the AAX-05P Constructor mech suit from Chapter 4, Rapid Advance is available again, with a big change: it is not quite as powerful in its base state, but for 3 SP, the Firepower Mode skill will switch the suit to a powerful attack state with a rocket launcher as base weapon, but with its base 60 armor reduced to only 10 and no possibility of moving. Firepower Mode also enables the skills Rocket Barrage and Mechanical Repair.

The Khors at the start holds a choke weapon accessory, Oleg a pulser weapon accessory and Sugar an elite upgrade kit.

Act 3: Die Another Day[edit]

Story

Encircled by the URNC's best, though regular soldiers are afraid of their Shrike allies, the AU force seizes the control tower of the airport to transmit to their air support Mustang 6 and call an air raid on the Progenitor's reflection, but the missiles are not match for the Progenitor's regenerative abilities. While they fend off the Homologous Shrikes hatching from giant blood cocoons, Jefuty needs to get inside the building taken over by the Progenitor, and Atena controls one of the planes on the tarmac to ram it into the terminal and open a way.

Under a veritable hail of bullets from the URNC encirclement, Jefuty and Lusica make their way through the Progenitor's defenses and enter the building. Inside, they find Semi-Mimetic Mitotic Specimens and Embryos devouring each other to become complete. As they make their way to the roof, the Progenitor attempts to absorb Lusica's mind, but is weakened by the AU's bombardments. The rest of the AU team also makes it through an opening in the immense Progenitor's body, fending off the URNC troops inside by targeting the weak spots of the Shrike vines forming paths inside the structure.

After sufficiently damaging the Progenitor, it provokes a bombardment of Shrike cells, which breaks the floor and reveals its False Heart. Braving the high concentrations of Shrike cells near the heart, Jefuty, Mendo and Lige manage to destroy it with blades coated with Mendo and Jefuty's blood. The Progenitor falls, and the AU force exits the building to fend off the URNC army as the Trolley Mustang 6 approaches, having broken through the URNC's air defenses over the Black Sea, along with the evacuation transport.

Mendo fetches Lige and Jefuty who walked away from the group, and Jefuty expresses her happiness that they finally made it to the end. She kisses Mendo and have him promise not to hate or forget her whatever happens in the future, and to save her one day. Mendo promises, and Lusica takes Mendo away under the pretense of giving Jefuty time to bid adieu to the place she lived through countless time. Jefuty then walks away to let Lusica take over her body, but trusts Mendo to find a way to recover her one day.

Map

The final boss mission of the game. This is a three-phases level with a battle, a stealth phase, and a last boss battle.

By now, your blood bullets and blood grenades should be upgraded to their maximum level.

You won't be able to change character skills mid-way, so make sure to have Jefuty's Burning Blood equipped in case you're hurting for blood bullets mid-way, Mendo's Harmonic Resonance to deal with the effects of blood mist and Jevon's enhanced Raging Flame for good bonus damage against the final boss.

Phase 1

Remember to take the recon vehicle with you to take out enemy traps. Target Blood Vines with blood bullets first, or they will intercept attacks meant for other enemies. Blood bullets are also effective on the structures ensnared in Shrike vines.

Note that Atena can longer move after reaching the first objective. In the next two turns after reaching it, four Shrike Evolution units will appear. Two of them will resurrect 3 fallen enemies per turn and have several AoE skills, including a map-wide instant-kill dash following the same rules as Lige's (meaning that two equipments can be sacrificed to nullify damage to the intended target). The other two will spawn a Blood Tree every two turns and hatch a Blood Fruit every turn while gaining a shield (Blood grenades will both inflict Reverse Blood and take down a shield), as well as using AoE attacks preventing the use of skills and inflicting a poison based on AP used. Both types are vulnerable to Reverse Blood from Blood Grenades, are not very mobile and will focus on areas with the highest concentrations of player units. Two turns after reaching the first objective, the planes around the map will become movable for 0 AP, inflicting significant damage to anything in their path, including a good chunk of HPs from the Shrike Evolutions (player units on the way will only be displaced).

There are many unique URNC units on this map:

  • The Grenadiers at the bottom left of the map are non-mobile special Elite Scouts with a 1 turn cooldown grenade skill inflicting 330 damage in a 3×3 area.
  • The boss Elite Commander has constant dodge and reduce damage taken for allies within 5 tiles by 20%.
  • The boss Elite Machine Gunner will increase its attack and accuracy by 25 at the end of each turn up to 6 times.
  • The two boss Elite Snipers have extra range and can select a tile to inflict extra damage.
  • The boss Elite Medic can increase the total HP of allies in a 5 tiles range.
  • The boss Elite Commando can reduce damage by 60% for player units hit by his grenade skill.
  • The boss Elite Special Forces - Nightmare can prevent player equipment from being used by draining its AP for 1 turn.
Phase 2

This is a mandatory stealth phase against special enemies. When two enemies are on adjacent tiles, one of them will lose 1200 HP and the other will gain one tile of detection, up to three tiles. Regular soporific darts are useless, but you will be provided ten special Shrike Inhibitors. When before one of the marked screens, Lige can spend 8 AP to reveal enemies on sections of the map for one turn.

On the escalator, after sedating the Shrike, you will find two Walkie-Talkie items to lure the Shrikes to a certain tile.

Secret Skip: The central tile of the board left of the escalator will lead directly to the end of the level.

The last stretch of the phase is a puzzle using Lige's ability to pass through enemies. The embryos can be passed through and will only explode if Lige steps on an empty tile next to them, but won't explode if Lige passes through another enemy next to them. Follow the trail of non-damaged ground tiles and pick out the embryos to eliminate with Jefuty to reach the objective.

Phase 3

There will be a preparation phase here to replenish your items (but not change your equipped skills, also notice that cruise missiles are banned for the last boss).

The Pupil Matrixes on the left of the stage keep the paths there open. When destroyed, the branch they are on will fall and all units on it will be destroyed. Get your units out fast to get rid of these enemies and focus on the boss (the items next to Jevon are healing items).

The first phase of the last boss has no less than 99,999 HP and can attack the entire terrain. It can capture two units at once in blood cocoons and uses an AoE attack every three turns dealing 480 damage to all units, except for those standing on Solarium tiles (the pedestals near the boss), where damage is reduced to 144. You will have several signs that the big attack is coming, but don't let your units on the Solariums once it is done as blood thorns will sprout on 4 of these tiles, causing damage and throwing units off them while also spawning a blood fruit for you to replenish some SP. At about a fourth of its life, the boss will gain more damage resistance and it will use its AoE attack every two turns. Pupil Matrices and Shrike Evolutions will also join the fight as it goes.

Once its life bar is depleted, the boss will recover a fourth of its HP and replace its AoE skill by new skills related to its two arms, each getting their own HP bars. The left arm (Gray Arm) will cause 120 damage in a large t-shaped area and transform the terrain into Shrike Organism where each tile costs 6 AP to enter. The right arm (Crimson Arm) targets an enemy with an AoE causing 120 damage if only one unit is hit, or dividing the damage between player units in the AoE and preventing healing for 1 turn. The target on screen remains visually the same, and you must cycle through the HP bars with the indicated button.

The Shrike Organism tiles are not only dangerous because they significantly slow down your units (Shockwave Grenades can still displace them), but also because they prevent the use of skills, reduce attack range to 1, reduce item range by 2 and cause 10% of Max HP in damage for each tile moved. You will still have to approach the last objective through these tiles to reveal the False Heart. The heart will repel units next to it while causing them 85 damage every turn. The heart cannot be targeted or hurt by normal attacks, skills or items. Instead, units nearby will have their weapons replaced by a "Shrike Full Assault Form False Heart Ultimate Weapon Coagulation Dagger" according to the prompt (appears as "Coagulating Dagger" in the character menu, or "Coagulating Bone Blade" for Lige). Considering its shield and HP, the heart will be destroyed in three hits.

Be prepared! There will be a surprise QTE during the cutscene after the heart reaches 0 HP, though these will just cause an immediate retry and not a game over if failed.

Story

Having found a gyroplane in an abandoned factory, Jefuty lands in the abandoned Montonovka Town, far from the AU's evacuation point. She makes preparations to deal with the incoming URNC forces. After a long fight, the soldiers finally seize Jefuty and William enters the field with his Shrike Mitotic Specimen guards.

Map

This is an endless mode challenge battle where Jefuty must fight against enemies alone. Saving is disabled and your total points will be counted on defeat. Jefuty begins with some pre-chosen items, can use no skills aside from her ultimate, and uses a maxed-out Mosin-Nagant. Every few turn or when killing bosses, certain traits can be selected from a randomized pool.

The orange points on the map indicate searchable tiles where some items can be found for 3 AP per search. The named bosses don't have much uniqueness, they are simply more powerful and immune to certain traits. A special type of enemies called the Logistician also appears, they cannot attack and are only fodder passing through the map to get more items. For 6 AP, Jefuty can enter one of the gyroplanes to move faster around the map. Idle gyros will also distract enemies.

On turn 13, the trusty AAX-05P Constructor mech suit becomes available. Shortly after, enemy bombardments will start, eventually escalating into leaving flaming areas. Enemy waves start repeating at turn 35.
