"Infected" humans
Humans in the early stages of ELID infection. They still retain some semblance of fine motor control, but display high levels of aggression and are tough to kill, due to the buildup of metal in their bones. Best to put them out of their misery quickly. The soldier variants consist of infected members of the military as well as local militia, some of whom have retained the ability to shoot with surprising levels of accuracy.

Totally not zombies. See, look, some of them even have guns!
The regular infected are usually no trouble at all, and do very little damage with their attacks. However, the soldiers can deal high amounts of damage with their guns. Overall, they're comparable to Guards and Vespids, respectively, but come in much larger hordes than your usual platoon. Explosives are a good way to thin them out.
