| weaponinfo = The current main service assault rifle of Bundeswehr G36 (German Armed ForcesGewehr 36)is a gas-operated, select fire rifle developed by German arms manufacturer Heckler and Koch. It was designed as a replacement for the venerable G3 battle rifle. It entered German military service in 1997 , and replaced continues to serve as the old 7.62mm calibre G3 battle rifles in main standard-issue rifle of the newly reformed Germany's armyBundeswehr. Gewehr 36 (<ref name "G36) is Wiki">[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_G36 Wikipedia entry on the Bundeswehr designation for the weapon, HK50 is the original projectG36]</product name given by the designing company Heckler & Koch. ref>
G36/HK50 project started in A development program working on a replacement for the early 1990s, G3 rifle had been ongoing since the desire to replace late 1970's. This program resulted in the aging G3 with a smaller calibre service assault G11 rifle dates back as early as the 70s, other projects such as with its unique and innovative caseless ammunition. The G11 and G41 were all proposed, even the Austrian made Steyr AUG was amongst the candidates. In the end actually slated to enter into service with both the G11 and G41 being relatively expensive and lack of trust Bundeswehr in the performance of the AUG at the time, Bundeswehr settled with the G36 for itearly 1990's lower cost, decent performancehowever this would not come to pass. In 1990, modular East and dependable reliability. Political West Germany reunified, and economical situations at the time right after Germany's reunification also persuaded the use Bundeswehr cancelled procurement of G36 than the other more expensive projects such as G41G11 due to defense budget cuts following reunification.

Compared to the G11, the G36 is a much more conventional rifle in terms of layout and function. It fires from a closed bolt, and utilizes the signature H&K short-stroke gas piston mechanism. This gas piston system would later be used by both the XM8 and HK416 rifles. The G36 has an effective firing range of up to 800 meters, with a rate of fire of around 750 rounds per minute. The rifle feeds from a proprietary 30 round staggered fit magazine designed specifically for the rifle. After a slight modification to the magazine housing, the G36 is able to accept and feed from STANAG pattern magazines. Other notable features of the weapon include a free-floating floated barrel, skeletal foldable folding stock , and light weight a frame made from lightweight corrosion -resistant synthetic materials made gun frame. Like most modern assault rifles designs, the G36 can mount combat accessories and a under-rail grenade launcher (typically AG36). Should a grenade launcher unit not be issue issued to the user, the muzzle of the weapon has a slotted flash suppressor, onto which one can fit and launch rifle grenades from with using blank munitions, . The flash suppressor also serves as a mounting position for fixing affixing a bayonet. The Bundeswehr standard -issue G36 features a ZF 3×4° dual optical sight, which is a combination of a 3× magnified telescopic sight and a unmagnified reflex sight .<ref name = "Inrange G36 Optic">[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J0psXVo5Uo InRangeTV video on top of that.the G36's dual optic]</ref>
In 2010, Bundeswehr forces equipped with G36 have different variant models designed to fill different rifles entered into a combat rolesencounter with members of the Taliban. During this firefight, the barrels of the G36 overheated, and three German soldiers were killed. This prompted an investigation into the performance of the G36. The investigation found that dumping two magazines (60 rounds) in quick succession was enough to overheat the G36's barrel to a shorter severe enough extent to cause accuracy degradation. The G36 is made largely of polymer to keep it lightweight, and it has been suggested that the polymer barrel carbine G36Khousing may be the cause of this issue. After the incident, the German Minister of Defense, Ursula von der Leyen, claimed that "The Heckler & Koch G36 has no future in the German army in its current state of construction", compact carbine G36C and that "the German military will stop using a plastic assault rifle that can't shoot straight when temperatures increase by 30°C or the rifle heats up during a light squad support firefight". Heckler & Koch rejected these claims, asserting that the faults of the rifle came from faulty ammunition, or the tin barrel covering applied by the Bundeswehr, and also cited its widespread usage as proof of the weapon MG36's effectiveness. It was eventually determined that the overheating issue was in fact the result of using bullets with copper-plated jackets that were too thin, and once the ammo was changed the problems were resolved.<ref name="wikiForgotten Weapons G36 Controversy">[[wikipediahttps:Heckler & Koch G36|Wikipedia entry on Heckler & Koch //www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfPHZFsw40M Video by Forgotten Weapons going over the G36]overheating controversy]</ref>
| design =Neat Despite the G36's name being cleared, the Ministry of Defense attempted to sue H&K, saying they were legally obligated to repair their rifles and pay damages. The court ruled in H&K's favor, saying that since the G36 was designed according to the Ministry's own specifications, H&K was not responsible for any faults in the weapon. H&K would eventually make their own replacement for the G36 in the early 2000's, the HK416, which was adopted by several countries, including Germany and the United States. On 22 April 2015, the German Minister of Defense announced that the G36 would be phased out of the German army due to the accuracy and tidy formally dressed T-Doll overheating concerns. Trials for a replacement would begin in 2017, with a maid attirenumber of competitors looking to score a lucrative contract with the German military. Despite this, the results of the 28th trial were finalized in September of May 20182020, and procurement of the maid style concept Haenel MK 556 was brought up by expected to begin in mid to late October. Both G36's character design features many square metallic rings on the head piece, hair ornament, and combat boots. These square metallic rings resemble the gaps on the weapon itself (the one between the carrying handle and the barrel, as well as the ones on the gun stock). The bodice she wears around her midsection has six holes, referencing the holes on the handguard of the rifle.  Her default outfit, 'Petit Waitress' costume, and Petite waitress costume her neural upgrade outfit have sewing patterns on the side of their dress that resembles the Roman numeral numerals III and VI, as representing the 3 and 6 in G36. However the correct way to write 36 should be XXXVI, but perhaps this was too long to fit on the costume. Following her neural upgrade, G36's outfit changes significantly. G36 has removed her long braid, and now keeps her blonde hair at shoulder length. Most of the frills on the upper part of her uniform have been removed, and she now wears a metal breastplate over a white dress shirt and short black jacket. The wrapping around her torso has been done away with, and G36 now bares her midriff proudly. Her frilly skirt has been retained, although she now wears a set of black pantyhose underneath it, and she has swapped out her combat boots for a pair of high heels. Truly, she is the spitting image of a 'combat maid'.

This may be due to Imoko working directly with MICA's art department, or just her undying love for her daughter, or both.*G36 is portrayed as having poor eyesight, often requiring glasses or squinting by in order to see clearly. Imoko, she commented that she came up with this idea while researching the weapon, 's unique sighting system. The G36's hybrid optic provides different magnification levels, and rapidly switching between the two in actual combat may produce stress on operator's eye sights (citation required)*Reports stating G36 rifle have overheating issues and are effecting the effective firing range, claiming continuous firing of several hundred rounds have accuracy impacts, making it difficult to hit targets past 100m, ineffective past 200m, and incapable of effective fire past 300 meters. **German Federal Ministry of Defence announces G36 would be phased out of the German army due to these concerns on 22 April 2015. Defense Minister von der Leyen considers the weapon to be useless. She stated that the German military will stop using a plastic assault rifle that can't shoot straight when temperatures increase by 30°C or the rifle heats up during a firefight.***This had likely inspired G36's low default accuracy stats in game.**Though there were no negative feedbacks on G36 from German soldiers, Bundeswehr have also yet to announce anything regarding phasing G36 out of service.**Various At various points throughout the story, G36 had has commented on her model being old and unable to dissipate body heat as effectively as the newer models, <div class="spoiler">she even broke breaking down during the summer heatwaves heatwave on the beach.</div> This is likely a reference to the controversy over the weapon's performance.**The controversy appears to be unfounded, as the G36's overheating problems appears to have come from ammunition designed for operating in the cooler climates of Europe. When used during the conflicts in the Middle East, it predictably caused the weapon to overheat during extended firefights. Once new ammunition was bayonet issued there were no overheating problems with the rifle.*The Bayonet issued to G36 are is the AKM Type II bayonetsbayonet, which were in service in the National People's Army of East Germany for their Kalash style service rifles. With the reunification of the nation, that stock of bladed weaponry found it's way into the newly merged Bundeswehr of the unified Germany.*There are several different variant models of the G36, each designed to fill a unique combat role: the G36K (a carbine variant with a shorter barrel); the G36C ; and the MG36 (a light squad automatic weapon).
