* Kar98k design became a controversy after the character from Mushibugyo manga, Iyo, has a similarities of Kar98k.The main illustrator of Kar98k, samail stated if his work was a pure original, while Weekly Shonen Sunday editor denying accusation to plagiarise of their works and responding the Girls' Frontline 'was a game which Hiroshi Fukuda(an author of Mushibugyo) never heard of'.
