Background info edit
A 42Lab BPT1 Cryptid Investigator model. The BPT1 is a specialized research Doll custom-made for cryptid research projects by 42Lab. Since this model was not designed for mass-marketing, its developer installed many ground-breaking pieces of equipment into it without regard for cost-effectiveness, such as a full suite of surveying equipment and biological detection gear, and most importantly a ground breaking experimental surface decomposition module. As the only example of the BPT1 Doll series, Hatsuchiri demonstrated the surface decomposition modules' shocking degree of innovation and practicality. She could analyze the surface makeup of the ground in a specific area and thus move freely throughout bedrock layers. This allowed Hatsuchiri to carry out her work of investigating unknown lifeforms with startling efficiency. After a mishap during a certain survey operation, the cryptid investigation project was shelved. Not long after that, Hatsuchiri volunteered to take part in Project Neural Cloud. "Humans really are very interesting, always doing things that I don't understand. Perhaps I'll be able to understand humans better if I stay by your side... At least, that's what I think."[1]
As the only BPT models in existence, Hatsuchiri and Sueyoi can be considered older sister and younger brother.[2]

Trivia edit
- In her second Neural Expansion artwork, Hatsuchiri is reading the book At the Mountains of Madness by H. P. Lovecraft. She also wears a key pendant, a recurring motif in Lovecraftian fiction.
- Hatsuchiri's Ultimate Skill, "Forgotten Wgah'nagl", references the ritual call "ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" from Lovecraft's The Call of Chtulu. The book translates the call as "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu lies dreaming," with "wgah'nagl" meaning "house".
- The characters in Hatsuchiri's Chinese and Japanese names mean “first, original” and “dust”. Like Sueyoi, her name officially uses the Japanese pronunciation instead of the Chinese pronunciation even on the CN server.
