Weapon Background
The MDR, or 'Micro Dynamic Rifle', is an gas-operated, semi-automatic bullpup rifle platform developed by American firearms company Desert Tech (previously known as Desert Tactical Arms). It was designed with the goal of being modular and highly modifiable to suit the individual user's preferences. It was also designed to be completely ambidextrous, with all weapon controls and the charging handle being accessible regardless of the shooter's preferred side.
The main feature of the MDR is its unique ejection mechanism, which propels spent casings forward away from the shooter's face. This is achieved with the use of two plates, which fit over the MDR's ejection port. One plate houses the ejector, responsible for pushing spent casings off of the bolt, and the other plate acts as a chute guiding the spent casing out of the gun. When the gun is fired, the backwards travel of the bolt activates the ejector, pushing the brass casing into the ejection chute. The bolt then travels back forward, pushing the spent casing down the chute and out the gun and simultaneously loading the next round into the chamber. These two plates can be easily removed and swapped to opposite sides of the gun, allowing the gun to be quickly modified for a left-handed shooter.[1]
As part of their goal of making the gun as adaptable as possible, Desert Tech offers the MDR in several different calibers. Changing between calibers is relatively painless, simply requiring swapping to a bolt head and barrel for the desired caliber and a magazine well adapter to accommodate the new magazine. First generation MDRs were offered in .223/5.56 NATO and .308/7.62 NATO, and the later MDRX model introduced chambering options for .300 Blackout and 6.5 Creedmoor.
The first showings of the MDR prototype were at SHOT Show 2014, with production of the gun being planned for the following year. Due to some design revisions and complications in the manufacturing process, it wasn't until 2017 that the MDR became available on the commercial market. The early MDRs had some issues, namely with the 7.62 NATO variants, which had problems properly extracting certain brands of military surplus ammunition. Desert Tech, to their credit, took these criticisms to heart, and made several modifications to the MDR to fix these issues. MDR owners were able to send their guns in to the manufacturer to receive these upgrades at no additional cost. All of the improvements made for the original MDR were made standard on the later MDRX model, which is identical in appearance to the original model, along with some added improvements.[2]
Character Design
According to her artist, RAN, MDR is a little on the shorter side for T-Dolls, being around 157cm tall (around 5ft 1in in American units). MDR is one of a number of T-Dolls with heterochromia, and has one blue eye and one pink eye. She has long silvery-white hair reaching to her lower back, accented with a neon pink highlight. She has tied up one side of her hair into a side-tail.
MDR's default outfit can be described as fashionable and modern, a fitting style for someone concerned with staying up-to-date on the latest trends. She wears a large black and dark blue jacket with neon pink trimming, under which is a thinner gray soft-shell jacket. She sports a black skirt over a set of black tights. In her damaged art, we can see that she wears a pair of light blue panties, presumably with a matching bra. A beret, a pair of black high-top sneakers, and numerous pouches and belts completes the ensemble. MDR carries with her a range bag, inside which she carries a number of important items: a phone charger shaped like a grenade, a tablet, a gaming device (potentially a gift from RFB), a pair of earbuds, and some packs of rations.

Spirit Trap
Of course, there's no way MDR would dare miss out on the Halloween festivities. To this end, MDR dons a bewitching blue and black dress with a spider web pattern on the front. The dress is adorned with black frills, and a number of spooky decorations are see hanging around the waist beside a pair of small bad wings made out of pink fabric (presumably). MDR's left arm is covered by a black glove stretching to the middle of her upper arm, while on her right arm she's sporting a black full arm gloveless sleeve with a cross-hatched pattern. For legwear, MDR has elected to wear a set of black pantyhose with bats printed on them, and for shoes she's chosen a pair of dark blue ankle boots. Her long silver hair has been done up into two small buns, with the rest being allowed to flow out behind her. A pair of small black horns can be seen poking through her hair, and her ears are pointed (likely due to extensions of some kind). Behind her, MDR's drone has been outfitted to carry a white sheet done up to look like a ghost.
Character Background
MDR is shown to be a socially-conscious T-doll who hangs out on the internet all the time and regularly updates her blogs and social media accounts. She prefers to use retro technology, and carries a modified old-fashioned flip-open mobile phone with clunky analog buttons instead of a smartphone. She claims that using harder buttons enhances the typing experience. She regularly visits the G&K anonymous forum known as 'Grifchan', and her online behavior can best be described as 'toxic and foul'. She has a tendency to be a bit mischievous, pulling pranks on some of the other T-Dolls and being willing to cheat during a game of poker. Many of these pranks are done with the intent of livestreaming them using either her phone or an aerial drone.
