Weapon BackgroundEdit
The SAT-8 (Semi-Automatic Tactical, 8 shots) is a semi-automatic tactical shotgun designed by Italian weapons manufacturer FABARM. A wide spectrum of models are produced, with different stocks options, but all are based on the same unique mechanical action.[1]
The SAT-8 is a gas operated weapon, using a robust gas system capable of dealing with medium to high pressure rounds. This allows for different types of munitions to be used, adding to the weapon's versatility. The gas piston is located around the front of the magazine tube, below the barrel. One unique feature of the gun's operation is the shotgun's patented 'Pulse Piston' system, which consists of a polymer brake ring that is compressed between the gas piston and operating rod. When the weapon is fired, this brake regulates the velocity of recoiling parts through the self-adjustable friction between the polymer ring and outer surface of the magazine tube – essentially, the heavier the load and the higher the pressure in the barrel, the stronger the ring will be compressed and the more friction will be added to the whole operating system.
The bolt is locked into place through the use of a single, swinging locking piece installed in the top of the bolt. The locking piece engages with the notch in the barrel extension, and drops down when bolt is unlocked. The return spring is located around the magazine tube instead of being inside of the buttstock, allowing for different styles of stock to be fitted to suit the individual. The SAT-8's under-barrel tubular magazine holds 7 rounds, with the weapon's total capacity being 8 rounds (7 in the tube, with one in the chamber). The receiver is made from an aluminum alloy and features an integral Picatinny rail for mounting accessories, while the foregrip and buttstock are made out of polymer. Barrels are made using FABARM's proprietary TriBore bore profile, and can be equipped with interchangeable chokes or a muzzle brake/compensator.[2]
The SAT-8 was designed in the early 2000's for use by law enforcement and police units, and although it has proved itself to be a reliable and capable firearm, it has not seen nearly as much use as competitors such as the Benelli Super 90 series and the Remington M11-87.
Character Design
A cheerful, energetic, passionate, and romantic girl: a product of NIN's tastes.
The tailoring of her clothes came from the designs of certain convenience store and gas station uniforms. Her Italian-knot tie is surrounded by a Vatican orange-yellow color scheme. While she wears a girlishly short skirt, she properly protects herself with a Pretty Cure-like set of spats, providing her with a rock solid defense against unwanted peeking. Her short socks and sneakers also make her come off as energetic and sporty. The white portions on her chest and gloves are Velcro strips for keeping her uniform together. Her sleekly-styled shield plates keep her approachable while still providing adequate protection during combat encounters.
A doll's design is somewhat related to the doll's own personal history and the history of the gun. The most prominent example of this with SAT-8's outfit is her necktie, which is colored like the Italian flag. The orange portions of her socks and shields, as well as her pronounced canines, are meant to allude to FABARM's specialized compensators and two kind of chokes, while her nickname of 'Pizza Lion' is also a reference to the company's logo. Her use of bright colors in her outfits helps portray her as both vivacious and energetic, yet centered and stable.
S.A.T.8 is a gentle and delicate good-girl type by nature, but leaving it at that would be terribly boring. Before becoming a tactical doll, she was a domestic doll who specialized in being dispatched to various places to serve as a temp worker. Over the years, she has been hired for all kinds of occupations, from selling crepes by the roadside to manning convenience stores to working in high-end hotels. She has also worked as an animal breeder, a caretaker in orphanages, and as a private nanny. Truly, she is a veritable part-time warrior. She brought these various experiences and conversation topics with her when she reported to G&K.
Her thick, natural blonde curls look very fine, and they curl differently depending on the ambient humidity. Her genial smile and narrowed eyes make people think that there's a hidden meaning behind her words despite her earnest nature. She's the sort who thinks before she speaks, and while she's perfectly capable of having fun under most circumstances, she shrinks away when people strike a nerve with her.
She has no biases in the field of love, and she bears no ill will for her commander whatsoever even if they're gay or have weird fetishes. She's not exactly tall, but she has a big sister-type personality. Her boobs, while often compressed by her tight underwear, are quite ample.
