Chelsea Profile Quotes

A government-funded fire-fighting Doll, FF-Alpha was introduced to the world by Svarog Heavy Industries in early 2057 and enrolled in government service by the end of that year.

In comparison to other traditional Dolls, FF-Alpha not only had a hardware revamp, but also a significant breakthrough in real-time collection and analysis of environmental data, a complete upgrade from earlier Dolls constrained by the gap between data analysis and real-time conditions.

Chelsea was among the first FF-Alpha Dolls enrolled in the Baltimore Fire Department, and her outstanding performance won her an honorary award from the Baltimore authorities within a year, as well as a nomination as a testing object for 42Lab's Project Neural Cloud.

Doll Profile 1 edit

Chelsea, in contrast to the other mature, disciplined firefighters, behaves more like an unsophisticated child, and enjoys making practical jokes on others.

From fastening tape on the doorknob, to hiding a jack-in-the-box within a cake, to putting spices in afternoon tea, those small pranks may not cause much damage, but they are certainly bothersome.

Despite this, the Doll victims of Chelsea's pranks never blame her, except for a few harsh comments when they are angered. That's because, aside from her prankish propensity, the cheerful Chelsea has an endearing personality and gets along with most of the Dolls. Second, when the mood is gloomy, her stunts can always spice things up. A little bit of liveliness can't hurt.

Unlike her cheeky demeanor in everyday life, Chelsea is quite serious and dependable when she is working.

Chelsea, after enrolling at the Oasis, had assisted Persicaria in performing an overall inspection of all buildings on the Oasis, with the military research lab receiving the most of her attention. Chelsea had compiled a list of roughly 200 fire hazard threats following the inspection, and it took them nearly a month to resolve all of the issues.

After resolving all concerns, emergency incidents such as energy discharges and bulk structural malfunctions were decreased by roughly 20% the following month.

Chelsea has a kitten as a pet. Since she came to the Oasis, she has visited Imhotep and Betty several times to inquire about kitten-related questions.

Chelsea rescued the cat from a fire scene. It was whimpering in the corner of the room when she first spotted it, immobilized by dread. Under the circumstances, Chelsea had to move it by force and then waited to be lifted to safety. The scene was captured on the chopper by frontline reporters and was on the top page of the Baltimore newspaper the next day. Chelsea stood on the fire steps, shrouded in smoke, holding the kitten she had just rescued.

Following the rescue, the staff discovered that the kitten was a stray cat from the Baltimore Animal Charity Fund. The staff attempted to send it away, but the cat refused to leave Chelsea's embrace. They had to leave the cat in Chelsea's care after several fruitless attempts.

In the end, Chelsea raised the kitten in the fire station. It gradually became accustomed to the new environment and treated it as if it were its own, patrolling the area with its haughty yet loveable demeanor.

Chelsea has a passionate disposition, one that is shared by all first responders. They all act as a bonfire, warming people while burning away themselves.

Even the warmest fires, though, may occasionally flicker and waver, as if they were on the verge of being extinguished. Chelsea is no different. Her responsibilities as the leader of the fire patrol squad are significantly more arduous than most realize.

Every rescue mission is a race against time. Nobody, not even Dolls, can win every game. However, regardless of the outcome, society always put pressure on the Fire Department, which eventually fell on Chelsea. For Dolls, great power comes with great responsibility.

At one point, Chelsea became lost and depressed. As things got worse, she was even relegated to reserve duty. What cheered her up and got her back was a simple smile—a homeowner caught in the fire scene breaking into a smile of relief at the sight of Chelsea's arrival.

That smile has remained with Chelsea ever since. She began to realize that she was not fighting for societal reviews or politicians shunning their responsibilities. She was working for the reassured smiles of every victim who saw her.

Doll Profile 5 edit

At first, Chelsea had no notion of what words like "home" or "hometown" meant. Chelsea, unlike other Dolls continually on-the-go, was awakened in the Baltimore Fire Department, where she spent the majority of her time. She had no plans to leave until Project Neural Cloud abruptly snatched her from her previous life, putting an infinite distance between them.

Chelsea experienced her first bout of homesickness at the Oasis. She would occasionally put on her old fireman gear and quietly sit in a corner, unconsciously imitating her old rituals at the fire station. Perhaps such behaviors, like the pranks she's been doing, provide her with a sense of security.

However, as time passed, Dolls in the Oasis discovered that Chelsea's old habits had been replaced by new ones. She used to stay alone after a dispatch, but now she prefers to have a snack with Choco. She used to zone out staring at the water hose, but now she frequently monitors Sol and Octogen's workstations, stopping the troublemakers from committing some flavor of arson. When she pulls a prank, instead of waiting for a reprimand, she laughs with everyone.

"According to the recent observation report, Chelsea has stopped her unusual routines, with the exception of pranking, which has most likely become a habit of hers. Chelsea should be removed from the observation list, in my opinion. She appears to have found a sense of belonging in the Oasis, or rather, with those around her."
