Bodyguard, the Doll model of Universal Anything Services (UAS), specializes in providing security services to the upper class. Exceptional in quality and pricey in cost, it can adapt to many complex workplaces and provide the highest levels of safety to the employer.

As a special Bodyguard model, limitations in certain empathic functions had been removed from Aki when he was made. Out of practical considerations, neither the employer nor the producer informed Aki about the removal.

As per the employer's request, Aki joined Project Neural Cloud without knowing the true intention of the employer.

Doll Profile 1

Rather than a bodyguard, Aki gives others the impression of being an approachable young man of the upper class. His unique temperament is most likely the result of his employer's influence, to some extent.

Aki's employer was a swordmaster, who demanded that Aki's weapon of choice be set to the Tachi when he was made.

In their days together, the master also taught him many unique sword techniques in person. Although importing data into Dolls would be more efficient, both the master and Aki rather enjoyed this conventional method of teaching.

Despite his physical appearance, Aki is quite childlike in several ways. For example, he enjoys wearing bear-themed accessories and is a bit of a picky eater, often fretting over his food's flavor.

Despite this, when confronted with crisis, Aki demonstrates a fortitude that contrasts his regular demeanor. With his behavior code limitation lifted, Aki exhibits no restraint when faced with humans or Dolls, resulting in a burst of power significantly more impressive than that of his peers.

Despite being the master's guard, Aki had little chance for combat. They stayed away from worldly troubles and lived in the mountains, and the sporadic intrusions were simply dealt with by the guards.

Aki's first opponent was a middle-aged man who used a blunt long sword to break through the perimeter guards. However, as he stormed into the courtyard, he was quickly detained by Aki.

Later, Aki discovered that the middle-aged man was the master's son. It was also the first time Aki learned about the master's past. He had a large number of children, as it turned out. Despite having been a hermit for long, he had a great reputation in the outside world.

"Bah. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"Even if I told you, you wouldn't understand."
"That's correct. Humans are far too roundabout for my liking."
"Tsk. How dare a bodyguard make fun of their boss? Perhaps you have too much free time on your hands. I'll give you something to do."
"Please don't! I'm going to patrol the yard right now!"
"Haha, you brat!"

Although Aki was not sure why the master requested him to join Project Neural Cloud, he didn't think much of it. As a Doll, all he had to do was obey his employer's orders—at least, that's what Aki had thought.

But as the departure date approached, Aki was tormented by plenty of inexplicable emotions. He began nagging the master about some concerning matters, complaining about the carelessness of other servants, and even feeling anxious about being alone with the master.

"I don't think I'll be able to join the Project. There appears to be a bug in my Neural Cloud System."
"Pug? What pug? You got a pug?"
"... No, I mean, there appears to be a problem with my neural system. You must have seen it. I was a little... What was the word? I'm a bit unsettled."
"Oh, I see. Who can say? Perhaps this is your first time leaving the house, and you're feeling apprehensive."
"Huh? How could I possibly be..."
"Alright, alright. Don't overthink things. If you have too much time, let's have some sword practice. Show me the technique you learned the other day. Come on!"

Aki isn't concerned about being confined in the Cloud. He accepts the situation as it is and has never inquired when he will be able to leave.

When he is not on duty, Aki likes to visit the empty land near the Oasis to practice the way of the sword on his own. He may not be a human, but his sensitivity and emotional intuition has allowed him to understand everything that's happened since he inherited his sword from the master.
