Weapon Background

The Walther P99 is a semi-automatic pistol developed by the German company Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen of Ulm for law enforcement, security forces and the civilian shooting market as a replacement for the Walther P5 and the P88. The P99 and its variants are also made under licence by Fabryka Broni Radom.[1]

Trivia

  • Her appearance was widely popular after replaced the signature PPK on the Pierce Brosnan's Tommorow Never Dies, which carried over since Sean Connery's Dr. No. This was based on the combat dialogue of P99.
    • However, P99 was again replaced by classic PPK on Daniel Craig's Quantum of Solace.
