Trivia
- OSS suppressors are baffleless sound reduction devices, which means that they do not use rubber or fiber disks to muffle the sound of firing the gun. Instead, they work by redirecting gases through a series of channels and chambers until the gas is vented out the front of the suppressor. Travelling through the suppressor's channels slows down the gases released from firing, and allows it time to cool down.
- The device consists of two separate components. The BPR, or back pressure regulator, prevents gas from traveling towards the shooter's face and redirects it forwards into the second part, the SRM. The SRM, or signature reduction module, forces the gases to travel through a series of looping grooves and channels before exiting the system through ports in the front of the suppressor's muzzle end.
