Given Jiangyu's Chinese cultural theming, this most probably refers to the gesture where the index, middle and ring fingers are extended up, which can be seen in many examples of Chinese stories across time periods (though the number of extended fingers can vary). In the Western world, the same gesture, usually known as the “Boy Scout salute”, appeared and took the same meaning independently, and so Jiangyu's gesture can be easily understood across cultures (another three-fingers oath gesture using the thumb instead of the ring finger is also used in Germanic cultures).
