Weapon Background

The Px4 Storm is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Beretta of Italy. It is intended for personal defense and law enforcement use.

Unlike many other modern handguns, the Px4 Storm does not use the Browning action. Instead, the Px4 uses the same short-recoil, rotating barrel action as the Beretta 8000 series, and uses the same trigger and safety system as the M9/92/96 series. Despite these mechanical similarities to other Beretta handguns, the Px4 is completely different in terms of design. It features a polymer frame paired with a steel slide and metal inserts, which was a massive departure for Beretta at the time. The Px4 also sports a rounded trigger guard, which makes it better for concealed carry. A modular trigger group, fully enclosing slide, under-barrel Picatinny rail, and changeable backstrap options are also highlights of the handgun.
