The Brügger & Thomet APC556 (Advanced Police Carbine) is a carbine designed and manufactured by Swiss firearms developer Brügger & Thomet. It is intended to be used by police and security forces, but it is believed that a military version is planned.

The APC556 is a gas-operated select-fire weapon with a short-stroke gas piston system. The gas system is equipped with a manual regulator to ensure reliable functioning with or without a suppressor. The gas system of the APC556 is designed to handle a wide variety of ammunition, from 5.56 to .300 Whisper (subsonic or supersonic) without any manual adjustments required.
