Career History

At 16 years old, she was interested in voice acting after watching the Sailor Moon series, later noted as "the anime that changed my life". While studying information technology at the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, she founded an anime club and learned Japanese. In 2000, she founded kawaii.otaku.ru, an anime fan website where she sang in Japanese. She was later coined as "the Russian anime singer who sings in Japanese" and was invited by the Japanese broadcast channel Mondo2 in 2002. In 2009, she made her first voice acting debut at "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance" film as an operator in NERV's Bethany Base. In 2015, Jenya was announced as the voice of Klara from Girls und Panzer der Film, after Tsutomu Mizushima created Klara to compensate for the lack of a role in the original Girls und Panzer despite having numerous Russian-based characters in the show.
