Weapon Background
The VSK-94 (Russian: Войсковой Снайперский Комплекс, romanized: Voyskovoy Snayperskiy Kompleks, English: Military Sniper Complex, GRAU designation 6В8) is a 9x39mm suppressed designated marksman rifle designed In 1995 in the KBP Tula Instrument-making Design Bureau designed by Vasily Gryazev.
It was developed in the early 1990's to complement the 9A-91 sub machine gun. It was intended as a more cost effective and lighter alternative to the VSS Vintorez much like how the 9A-91 is intended as a cheaper alternative to the AS Val which was derived from the VSS Vintorez. The VSK-94 is nearly identical to 9A91 and they're both gas operated weapons with long stroke gas piston and rotating bolt. Both are also chambered in 9x39mm subsonic ammunition.
The original 9A-91 can still be recognized in the VSK-94 design. Key physical changes include the integrated double-strut, lightweight polymer stock and the cylindrical silencer assembly. The VSK-94 features the same receiver lines of the 9A-91 series as well as its straight detachable box magazine. The pistol grip adds ergonomic comfort and the oblong trigger ring allows use of a gloved hand. Magazines are inserted into the well ahead of the trigger group in the usual way. The charging handle is set to the right side of the body as is the ejection port. Thusly, optics are attached to the left side of the receiver - the standard fitting being the 4x PSO-1 series scope (backed by the 9A-91's iron sights). The PSO-1 series is a common sight for the famous Dragunov SVD sniper rifle family. Receiver construction is of all steel for rugged usability in-the-field. As with the 9A-91, the VSK-94 is fed from a 20-round detachable spring-loaded straight box magazine tied to the gas-operated, rotating bolt action. This allows a rate-of-fire of approximately 700 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 270 meters per second out to an effective range of 400 meters.
The VSK94 was acquired in limited quantity and remains in limited use by special Russian military and internal security forces. Although cheaper, the VSK-94 is seen as less capable than its more expensive counterpart; the VSS Vintorez.
Character Background
She has an extremely strong sense of righteousness and has a history of police service in her CV. She's a powerful fighter who's used to working alone. To other T-Dolls, she's cold, taciturn and difficult to approach. In truth, she loves human children, but her vicious looks often make parents mistake her for a human trafficker.
