Weapon Background
The Thunder .50 BMG handgun was developed Janos Lakatos of the defunct Triple Action LLC that was based in Logan, Utah. The handgun was first unveiled in the 2004 Shot Show held annually at the Sands Expo Convention Centre in Las Vegas, USA. Thunder is thought to be a brainchild of a local gunsmith constructed without any serial production, as a case of "why not?". [1]
The Thunder is a very unique weapon, with 'Hollywood Movie Designs' influencing the design of the handgun. And the entire reason for its existence was as a marketing trick by Triple Action to market their recoil reduction systems. But soon after the unveiling at the 2004 Shot Show, the handgun soon became a 'ghost' as it was expected that production of the handgun would be announced in the 2006 Shot Show. But, Triple Action went defunct and the prototype was sold to a private collector. [2]
The Thunder .50 is a single shot, scissor breech handgun (Swing-Down Breech) with a seperate cocking lever and separate case ejector. The handgun itself weighs 12 lb (5.4kg) when unloaded, and when loaded adds a further 800 grams from the .50 BMG cartridge. Thunder has a barrel length of 13.2" (33.5cm) and an overall length of 16.9" (42.9cm). The handgun utilises a 'Nitrogen Recoil Controller' which ensures the shooter doesn't lose limbs whilst firing the weapon.[3]
Character Design
A stoic T-doll standing at 149cm tall. Her clothes are a simple western skirt and jacket, combined with pantyhose and bracers with a butterfly knot on her thigh as a small offset to the outfit. Simple overall design with most of the efforts going into the colour of the doll and her clothes with an intention of producing something like a white swan in black swan's clothes (referring to the black swan theory)[4], it also has connotations of ravens. The camouflage pattern is on the inside of the clothing so only she can see it and not forget the darkness and cruelty of the world. Once she buttons up her jacket, it also covers up the butterfly knot on her thigh in its shadow. If she doesn't stand out, she wont be noticed, and she can live quietly in her shell.
Thunder is a very old model of doll, and she was not made for decent tasks. Her performance cannot be compared to the other dolls at all, as she has never done work like this before. Given that she has thoroughly experienced the dark side of the world, one can easily imagine that she has a never-exposed-to-the-sun-before kind of personality. Just as she was about to be discarded as an obsolete generation, G&K acquired her, gave her minimal modification, and now she awaits her end in this final resting place. She was purpose built to be very expressive, and one could say she appears more human than other dolls, but that carries no good memories for her at all, so she is actually more comfortable on the battlefield where she doesn't need to impress other people, which is fortunate for her. Perhaps her present personality is a response to her previous one. She is a paradox; a gentle girl who's afraid of getting hurt.
She secretly plays FPS games and begun listening to music recently. In the past, she had no personal possession, but now she's started to keep some as a set of earplug-type headphones with the cables being especially long so that two people can listen to them together, and a MP3 players that the commander gave to her filled with songs from a certain doll (the song that she listens to the most is titled "Only For You"). After the Glory Day incident, she understood that she had to fight for her own happiness, and she wrote the words she learned in an FPS onto the camouflage pattern inside her jacket reading 'Facta Non Verba' which means 'Actions Not Words' in Latin.
Renoirs Crow
Her style doesn't make her resemble a black swan so much as make her look like she was possessed by one, and the tight bindings on her back recall an inescapable fate. While these black wings bring misfortune, at least she can use them to fly, and flee as fast and far as she can before disaster catches up with her. A materialistic society does not need a flower that can wilt, only something that looks like a flower and will hold together for a moment. The focus is on her incredibly expensive jewelry and pearl, as well as the dazzling body of the girls herself.
