A bullpup configured, bolt-action, sniper rifle designed by Desert Tech (Formally known as Desert Tactical Arms), SRS would stand for Stealth Recon Scout. SRS is a relatively compact and light-weight marksman rifle designed and advertised for covert operations. It is made of primarily polymer material, aluminum and steel, the heaviest variant (.338 Lapua) weights no more than 5.6kg and measures just under 1000mm of length. Different cartridge firing variants comes in different total length and weight, also have different size magazines designed to matches different the munitions. As a bullpup rifle, SRS' operation is similar to the German DSR-1, both the magazine and the bolt are located behind the trigger group. With the weapon layout shifted more weight towards the rear of the rifle, it created a central balancing point, of which the manufacturer claims.
Other notable features on the SRS includes a safety mechanism located above the trigger group, it can be operated without removing the user's hand from the pistol grip. SRS also feature a free-floating barrel with a muzzle brake, the muzzle brake can be removed to fit a threaded muzzle for the attachment of a suppressor. Optical scopes can be attached on the top positioned Picatinny rails, other tactical accessories such as a bipod can be fitted on the Picatinny rail placed below the weapon's barrel.
